Early last Saturday morning, Director Alexa Diaz Hann, DP Eric Hann, Line Producer Rob Van Norden, Marion Kerr ("Emily"/Producer) and I drove to location scout several beaches along the SoCal coast. There is a very pivotal scene between Charlotte and Emily that happens along the beach so we were looking for a place that could both believably suggest an English shoreline and give our crew the space they would need for filming.

I'm very pleased to announce that we found both at El Matador State Beach, just north of Malibu. The unique rocky formations and high cliffs at El Matador are truly unique and offer a wonderfully complex landscape that will provide a beautiful backdrop.

Creating the world of Charlotte and Emily in Southern California has been one of the great challenges and joys of producing "LINES" and I'm pleased to say that with this location locked, we are that much closer to sharing this world with all of you.

With two weeks left in our campaign, we're pushing harder than ever to bring our backers the best film we can. We appreciate you continuing to retweet and Facebook our campaign, and are truly humbled by your generous donations! Now we've got just 15 days to make $600 in order to reach our final "above and beyond' goal of $3,000!

Dear friends and supporters!

Team LINES is so excited to announce that after only 6 short days of fundraising, we've already made our minimum of $2,000! 

So many films never get funded on all, so it's incredible that (a) we made our goal, and (b) made it so quickly! It's said that Kickstarter is a great way to test the interest of your project to a general audience. Reaching our goal so quickly with so many enthusiastic backers is a wonderful reinforcement that we are not the only ones who want to see this film get made. "Lines" is definitely happening now, and all because of YOU! So, what's next?

With 23 days to go, we've decided we're going to try and raise an extra $1,000 to take "Lines" to the next level. An extra $1,000 will allow us to:

- pay the Kickstarter fees outside of our budget (approx 9-10% of what we raise)

- make the film more authentic to the time period (better props, more detailed costume pieces, etc.)

- bring 1-2 extra crew members on board (an Assistant Camera, and a more experienced Sound Mixer). 

- pay for a beach permit to film on a beautiful outdoor location.
