About this project
Hi everyone!
My name is Vivian Kerr and I am a Los Angeles-based actor, writer, and producer. I'm trying to raise $2,000 to make a short film, a period piece set in the 19th century and inspired by the lives of the Bronte sisters.
Our goal of $2000 will allow us to shoot the film in 2-3 days with a dedicated cast and crew. Your contribution will help us pay for festival costs, location rental, costumes, catering, and equipment rental.
My sister, Marion Kerr and I, will be playing Emily and Charlotte Bronte and co-producing for the first time, and we both look forward to the opportunity to explore the lives of these immensely talented women.
The team:
ALEXA HANN (DIRECTOR) - Alexa has a BA in film production with honors from Biola University. She studied screenwriting with Act One under Chris Riley (author of “The Hollywood Standard“) and is a graduate of the advanced Act Two program. She spent three years at Walt Disney Studios in online marketing. Her short film "Marked" was nominated for best directing, editing, and cinematography at the 2007 168 Film Festival. Her short film "Bluetooth" made its debut at the 2008 California State Fair. She is currently producing the short animated film "Nail'd", and is in post-production on her short film "Marital Bliss."MARION KERR ("Emily"/PRODUCER) - Marion Kerr is an actor living in Los Angeles, CA. She was born in Sacramento and majored in theatre at U.C. Irvine. She's appeared on "How I Met Your Mother" and pilots for ABC and BRAVO as well as Sabi Pictures' "Heart of Now" and "I F*cking Hate You". She's currently appears in a national commercial for Hartford Insurance and recently completed work on two short films, LUCID and FAR. She studied filmmaking at the New York Film Academy and and made her writer/director debut with the award-winning feature film "Golden Earrings."
VIVIAN KERR ("Charlotte"/PRODUCER) - Vivian Kerr wrote, starred, and co-produced the web series "We Are with the Band" (funded on Kickstarter!) which was accepted at the 2010 Independent Television Festival, and won "Best Duo" at the 2010 Indie Intertube Awards. Her TV work includes episodes of "Just Jordan", "Tim & Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!", and "Mystery ER." She is a member of SAG, AFTRA, and AEA, and was most recently nominated for Featured Actress in a Play at the 2011 Ovation Awards for her role in "The Crucible" with acclaimed LA company Theatre Banshee. She is a graduate of USC School of Theatre and BADA in London.

Vivian Kerr earned a BA in Theatre from the University of Southern California and attended the London Theatre Program at BADA. Film/TV work includes "Mystery ER," "Just Jordan," and "Tim & Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!" and several independent shorts. She starred in HBO's first web series, "Hooking Up," and used Kickstarter to successfully fund her web series "We Are with the Band" which was selected as a Comedy Pilot at the 2010 Independent Television Festival. Her theatre work includes roles with the Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum, Sacramento Theatre Company and Rubicon Theatre Company, as well as acclaimed LA companies Theatre Banshee and Sacred Fools. She is nominated for Featured Actress in a Play at the 2011 Ovation Awards.
