Join in on an illustrated adventure from the road of a happy little cartoon cracked tooth and all the fun and sticky situations he encounters.

TOOTHEE was born on July 3, 2009. In honor of turning two, I would like to take Toothee to a whole new level: TOOTHEE 2.0 - he thinks that he is going out for birthday dessert but is actually going to the desert!

The goal is to travel  2200 miles through the desert, from Oregon through Nevada for the first 2 weeks of July, doing at least one drawing every day as Toothee meets new friends, finds fun and discovers new sugary treats, ultimately becoming a hand illustrated, multimedia adventure storybook full of fun hi-jinx and silly sticky situations. 

The book will be drawings from the road illustrating Toothees daily adventures and hi-jinx, including supplemental photos, sketches and ephemera. 

I will also provide updates from the road on Toothees adventure status with information about where he has been and is going, providing hints into what to expect in your illustrated  adventure!

Funding by you will help cover the cost to produce the book, mail it to supporters and the expenses of going on the road.

about TOOTHEE: Toothee is a sun loving, happy go lucky, friendly sweet tooth cartoon character who loves fun, sugar and sharing smiles with the world. He loves to travel and always leaves a likeness of himself behind for new friends. So far TOOTHEE has spread smiles through hand illustrated stickers, drawings, paintings, hand sewn dolls, and even a tattoo.

about me: I am a human. I am also sun loving, happy go lucky, silly, friendly and like inspiring people to smile. Toothee is a personification of those qualities. He lives as a tattoo on my right arm. Before Toothee came into existence I would rarely draw for fun, like I did when I was little. NOT RAD. Toothee inspired me though. Drawing him became a way for me loosen up and just draw with no pressure and no expectations. Drawing became fun again. VERY RAD.

Then in december 2010, tragedy stuck, I crushed the index and middle finger on my right hand, like seriously, flat as a pancake, blood squirting out the sides, crushed. I am right handed. For three months I was unable to do anything with it and had to re-learn how to hold a pen correctly. Drawing was out of the question. The fingers are still healing and most of my function has returned but its still not 100% and the doctor said it could remain swollen for a year, but heat, such as in the desert could give me some relief. Breaking my fingers broke my drawing confidence. This project, backed by all of you will get Toothee back on the road to making people smile.
