I saw you comment below about not being marketing geniuses, but I would have to agree with the original poster. I was initially turned off by the video that was posted and almost did not become a backer, but eventually decided to back it based on the specs provided. I would really like to see the project come to fruition and with time winding down, would recommend a new video just being yourself and emphasizing the benefit of the case.

We believe that black is a universal color that appeals to a lot of our potential backers and customers. However, if our Kickstarter fundraising is successful in allowing us to improve and produce the first batch of ureka Rechargeable Battery Cases, we will expand into different colors in subsequent batches. "Apple" white will definitely be included!

Thanks for your suggestions! We will definitely look into making a larger opening for the headphone jack. Currently it is not possible for the phone to drain the ureka first; however, some of the funds raised on this project will go toward further improvement of our product and we'll definitely try to make it work. While I love the black it is what I would want I wonder if additional colors would draw people in? A "apple" white would be cool to see as well as the usual myriad of colors. Just a thought. Hope to see this get backed!

I'm so happy to see a battery case with a dock connector. The only reason I haven't purchased a battery case yet (I've had every iPhone so far) is the need to use micro/mini usb for charging/syncing. Constantly removing a case every time I want to sync , charge or use an accessory is not only tedious, but starts to defeat the purpose of a case by increasing the chances of scratching the phone. Just be sure to make a large opening for the headphone jack for the rare times I need it so I won't have to take the case off ever again! Good luck!
Also, is it possible to have the phone drain the ureka first and then the phone battery? This would be preferable to having a switch. Plugging into the wall should charge the phone first and then automatically switch to charging the ureka.

The Phonesuit Elite is 5V/1A; the "1A/5W" is probably a minor typo. Amps is Watts/Volts so it would be 5V @ 100A. I hope that helps; if you have any questions feel free to shoot away!

Thank you for your feedback! Our answers are as follows:
1) and 2). Our case is thinner and lighter than the PhoneSuite Elite and provides more mAh. It is 125 x 60 x 15 mm compared to the PhoneSuite Elite's 126 x 62 x 17mm. Our case weighs approximately 60g compared to the PSE's 79g. Also, our case has a battery capacity of 2200 mAh compared to 2100 mAh. And then the main advantage is that our product uses the native charge port not a micro USB port, which often breaks and is more cumbersome.
3) Sorry about that; we're no marketing geniuses.
4) Our team is already drawing up preliminary schedules for configuring our ureka Rechargeable Battery Case to the iPhone 5

Not bad, you just about match the phonesuit elite. Besides price, i think you still have some tough competition from them.
May I suggest the following:
1) so far your prototypes don't look nearly as nicely finished as the phonesuit elite so if you could update KS with more accurate end product finishes, you have a great chance.
2) 2200mAh is really good, but I'd need more specs before I decide to back you guys more. What's the weight? What's the current output, gotta be at least 1A otherwise it's gonna be hard to win the PS elite.
3) the first 2 mins of your video was really really difficult to understand due to the cheesy accent, kept replaying certain bits to try to find out more info but alas.
4) If you've seen some recent rumors that the iphone 5 is gonna have a new charging jack. you could be a lil late for the iphone 4s (still a huge market of course) but the iphone 5 is probably gonna have a huge following too, may wanna start planning for that release then at least you're ahead of the game.
You've got great potential.. if I can find enough specs for it i might just jump on it.

I totally agree that the 30 pin is much better. Who doesnt have an iPhone charger? Also I'm sure more accessories can be used with this case, docks and such

The manufactures we contracted for this project hold all the necessary license agreements & patents to make this case. As for the mircousb port being more popular, that's for you to decide. We believe other wise this is why we design this case.

Hi.
I notice the Made for iPhone logo in your video. Are you joining the Apple's MFI program? I wonder if they allow you to use their proprietary 30 pin dock port.
From discussion in other Kickstarter project which also make an iPhone case with internal battery and joining Apple's MFI program, was mentioned that Apple didn't allow them to use the 30 pin dock port and instead force them to use a microUSB port.
IMO by using microUSB port will making it easier to charge the case because a microUSB charger is more widely available in public places.
