THE BASICS All the songs are written, the single is out, & the artwork is complete. Now all I need is your support to help launch what will be Urban Rescue's first full-length album, Listen Empty.
HOW DOES IT WORK? Kickstarter is a giant pre-sale used to fund creative projects. Every dollar pledged will go directly toward the costs needed to make the album happen - paying the producer, musician fees, orchestral arranging & recording, studio hours, engineering, mixing, mastering, artwork, & manufacturing. If a total of $20,000 or more is pledged within the next 30 days, all credit cards will be charged and Listen Empty will be fully funded. But if I don't meet this goal then you won't be charged, and we can't record.
REWARDS There are 10 insanely good rewards to choose from to say THANK YOU for your pledge. These options are my way of giving back to you for your gift and belief in me, & the heart of Urban Rescue. The last three options are specifically designed for your family, church, and youth group to book Urban Rescue for a concert, weekend service, or acoustic house show in 2012. And get this: Your group gets to keep all the concert ticket sales made at the door!
MY HEART Since 2005 God has given me some unforgettable opportunities to work with some of the most talented friends, musicians, and producers in the business. But in all that time I've never had the financial means to record a full-length professional record. Two years I felt it was time to stop touring and refocus on prayer, writing, and listening again to God's voice. And that's exactly what this album is all about. Listen Empty is a collection of two years worth of honest and authentic songwriting that have evolved into what I believe have become desperate, passionate, and compelling anthems for the Church.

This past year I've been more or less hibernating; concentrating on songwriting, and rediscovering what it means to purely and honestly listen. The act of listening in our culture seems to have become a lost art form. While we love to talk, and express ourselves, and share our experiences online it seems we've neglected to truly listen. Our neglect to listen not only plays itself out in our most sacred of human relationships, but permeates our relationship with God. Listen Empty is about setting aside our constant list of prayers and preconceived notions about God. It's the sound trees moving to the rhythms of the wind. The sound of violins replacing rhyme and cadence. The sound of thunder lighting up a dark forest. The sound of the sun burning with grace. The sound of sheer silence...

Yes! The best deal for any given youth group is the $1000 pledge which includes lots of product giveaways and a solo performance with Jordan, OR the big $2500 pledge which books full-band performance with Urban Rescue at your house, church, or venue (within a 500 mile radius)

SOLO ACOUSTIC I'll come a play at your house, church, or event. YOUR NAME or GROUP NAME will be credited as "Executive Producer" on the Listen Empty liner notes. I'll provide all the promotional material needed for the event (Including a personalized announcement video message from me to your group/church, flyers, tickets, web promo etc). Booking priority will be given in order of those who pledge first. You keep the tickets sales at the door. *You will also need to cover gas, food, & lodging for day of event.

Jordan Frye is a worship leader who writes, records, and performs under the moniker of Urban Rescue (meaning "city life," to "free or liberate"). He is known primarily in Southern California due to the success of Urban Rescue's self-titled EP in 2009, produced by Eric Owyoung (Future of Forestry) & Just to Be Here - EP in 2010, produced by Dwayne Larring (Sonicflood/ Matt Redman/ Tim Hughes). Frye began leading worship at the age of 12 and started Urban Rescue in college. After six years he is set to propel his music to a new plateau through Kickstarter in 2012 with his first full-length project, Listen Empty.
