Hi everyone!

I'm feeling better. Le Big Mac is not, but my tiny laptop is doing really well picking up the slack and I'm keeping up the work on the album & graphics. I'm pleased to say my secondary goal, $12,000, has been hit, so I am going to celebrate by not stressing about how funding is going while I'm playing in North Carolina this weekend. Also by plotting an excellent music video for "The Heroine," for which I recorded some gorgeous trumpet by a fellow named Perrish just the other day.

It's about the isolation of connecting to people online rather than in real life, the disappearance of meatspace community and extended family, the myth of the isolated artist which I do largely live, somewhat successfully, and having people fall in love with my persona rather than my actual self. And having relationships with people who can't see when they've made me blush because the webcams don't really pick that up.

      I think this is the song that finally pushed me to donate. It needs to be twice as long with the backing percussion that starts at 2:25 though. It ends too abruptly and leaves me wanting more... badly.
