About this project

Michael Hearst (of One Ring Zero and Songs For Ice Cream trucks) is working on a new project called Songs For Unusual Creatures. This book/cd celebrates some of the under-appreciated creatures that roam the planet. From the Australian Bilby to the deep-sea Magnapinna Squid, to the Saddleback Caterpillar, the songs are brought to life by a gaggle of curious instruments and peculiar sounds including theremin, claviola, stylophone, and LEMUR's mechanical musical robots!

Check out this story on Michael and LEMUR (League Of Electronic Musical Urban Robots) in Scientific American!

Release date: 2010.
