Look for the Union Bagel on Tuesday, May 1st.
Hello everyone,
Although it's been a while since our last update, a lot has been happening. We have been in and out of the Community Kitchen all week mixing, shaping, boiling and baking bagels--each time refining and perfecting the last bake's results. All of this hard work has paid off, and we are excited to announce that the very first batch of Union Bagels will hit the shelves on Tuesday May 1st. We're calling this our "soft" opening--testing both our capacity in the kitchen, and your capacity to eat our bagels. K. Horton's in the Public Market House will be sampling and selling our bagels all day, and you can also find them Tuesday on the menu at Nosh at 551 Congress St. until they sell out, so stop by and grab your first ever Union Bagel! In the week following our soft opening, we will roll out our full-scale production schedule and will let you know when and where you can look for the Union Bagel on a regular basis.
Thank you so much for your support--you are all instrumental in getting us to this stage, and your rewards will not be forgotten! We are incredibly excited to be making bagels in the great city of Portland.
