Typestache Cards

We are three graphic designers with like-minded taste in design and typography. While typestaches (curly brackets rotated 90 degrees to mustache orientation) are nothing new, we have always appreciated their quirkiness and wanted to do something new and unique with them. We decided to create an app which allows the user to take a photo and “stache” themselves with a variety of typestaches and learn more about the typefaces . It is scheduled to be submitted to the app store by the end of 2011/early 2012.

To promote the app we have designed a FULL DECK OF PLAYING CARDS with a different typestache on each. If funded, not only would the cards promote the app, but what designer, typographer and/or card player wouldn’t want a deck of awesome typestaches?

*Important Printing and REWARD Info

Because of the bulk requirements for printing the cards, we will only be able to send out 75 decks of cards to all of you lovely people. However, if we can double our current funding goal of $1,200, we will have enough to send another order to the printer. The second order would be for a total of 105 decks (the three of us will get our decks out of the first order and not need any more). So it would work like this:

•First 75 decks are distributed to their backers.
•After that, until we double our funding goal (which is more than possible!), all donations are in good faith that we can double the original funding goal in order to place another printing order.
•Upon doubling the original funding, 105 more decks will be printed and made available to those who make their donations after the first 75 decks have been snatched up by other Kickstarters.

•From here the process starts over once again, following the same model as before. And of course, if you have any questions, please send us a message and we will get back to you asap!

*If we do not make enough to print a second or third or fourth order and so forth, we unfortunately cannot provide you with your chosen donation reward package, but know that your donation was appreciated times infinity and that we will come up with something to show you our undying thanks and gratitude!*

Don't you worry yourselves, we have accounted for shipping materials and postage in our goal of $1,200 for US orders only. If your order will be international, please contact us via the "send message," button above, so we can calculate how much to add on top of your donation for international shipping costs.

Our Goal

We not only want to print these wonderful cards for your playing enjoyment and to promote our upcoming app as previously stated, but also to be able to have a few physical decks to keep with our portfolios and use as leave-behinds for potential employers. I mean, can you blame us? These cards are pretty fantastic.
