Update #1: Update #1 Photographing the Artwork
The weekend of December 3rd marked a significant milestone in the process of creating the catalog. A large number of works across all disciplines were photographed over a 2 day period. Two-dimensional work was the first day of shooting, and 3-dimensional occupied the second day. Special thanks goes to our Photographer Sam Fritch, and to the Photography MFA's Julia Staples, Amy Harbilas, Sharon Koelblinger, and Cally Iden for helping make the process run so smoothly.
We are thankful for all the support we have received so far, and want to wish our backers and future backers a happy and joyous holiday season. And to end on an enchanted note, we have a special holiday tinged recap of the photography weekend.

Each donor will receive an original, hand made 4x6 (or similar size) "postcard" from one of the 28 artists! It could be a drawing, a photograph, even a video! You never know what we resourceful grads will come up with!

Here is where the rewards get serious! Parties donating $50+ will receive a small work from one of the 28 graduate students. What will it be? Maybe it will be a small painting or drawing from one of the 9 graduating painters, or a small print, from a printmaker. Maybe it is a small work from a ceramic, fibers, or glass artist! The possibilities!

Donors of $100+ will receive a moderate sized work of art from one of the 28 talented participating graduates. It could be a work from any major area.
Pledge $250 or more Pledge $250 or more
As a contributor that is giving one tenth of our goal, you will not only be getting a medium sized work, but you will be honored and acknowledged as a donor inside the catalog! We deeply thank you for your support and want to show our appreciation!

Major donors receive not only special acknowledgement in the catalog itself, but a copy of the catalog! On top of that, you will receive a large piece of original art from Tyler's talented group of burgeoning professional artists. This would be a lovely contribution to ones home and personal art collection, all for supporting the creative endeavors of young artists and art historians!

You will receive all of the $500 reward package, an additional catalog, a personally addressed letter of appreciation, and a poster for the 2011 2nd Year MFA Group show "BANG" signed by all of the participating graduates!

The people involved in the collaborative MFA catalog are all graduate students from in and around the Tyler School of Art community. The project formed around the work of the 2012 studio MFA candidates and highlights the writing of the art historians and other academics on Temple's campus.
