Twig the Fairy, also known as Twig Oaklyn Flewinia Thistlebottom, was first sighted at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival in 2003.
She now travels the country visiting Minnesota, North Carolina, Arizona, Pennsylvania, Texas, South Dakota, and Colorado, which would be even more impressive if you knew how many shiny things she sees between locations and how distracting these objects are for her.
When children see Twig, they are often struck with a sense of awe and occasionally with a puff of glitter.
She greets the small humans with a song played on her magical flute and a special gift just for them. They will often protect the gift with great vigor from anyone who may try to steal it, such as a goblin or an older brother.
She speaks volumes not through words, but through her interactions and music.
NOTICE: Twig has temporarily suspended her interpretive dance messages due to "The Wing Incident" of early February.

Thank you Twig for being you and doing what you do. Though our festival paths have never crossed, and I have never had the pleasure seeing you in person (in the fey?) your facebook antics have brought many many smiles. My five-year-old true believing daughter will be ecstatic - a book, calendar, and a fairy coin? She will squeal with joy! With just the right amount of fairy luck and timing you may be able to do a big favor for the tooth fairy and save her a trip. (My small person has six, count 'em 6, wiggly teeth at the moment!!!)

I have been a Twig fan ever since I first saw her the 2nd year she appeared at the MNRenFest. I'm so proud she hails from my home state of Minnesota. She is a force for good in so many ways. Sooo happy she will reach her goal. Can't wait to see her new book.

Fairies don't Scam. I have seen Twig quite a few times with the Kids and I can say nothing but great things about the things she does. I wish I could give more to her project! I have already sent word along the bunny trial in hopes of bring in some more for her to reach the goal. Spread the Word! Karma Bomb Twigs! You can do it!
As commentator for the Snail Races last year (which I wouldn't recommend unless you have 6 months free, but hey, a job's a job), I feel it's my duty to support the beautiful pixie that informed me of that job opportunity. Pucks like me have so few options in the struggling economy. The more believers, the more hands clapping. The more applause, the more faeries get to stay alive! Everybody wins (except for those who value left socks)!

I've never used Kickstarter and don't know how it works, but I've had the pleasure to see Twig in action twice (and my daughter has her first book already). Twig is simply incredible. I'm not sure if this is reassuring or a sign of insanity coming from a 40+ year old man, but Twig is the real deal: a REAL fairy. Not sure how she publishes a book in fairy-land, but it works.
So if Twig thinks KickStarter is the way to fund her book, I'll believe her. I'm in for $100 because I will be the World's Best Dad if my daughter's name is in the back of the next book.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Twig, you rock. Best of luck on the new project!

Thanks for your support on my Kickstarter project. I'm sorry you feel like it's a scam, but I promise you this a fairy's honest fundraising project.
I agree with you that it is strange that the Kickstarter platform does not collect shipping address when you make your pledge. I wish it would just collect it right away, but it turns out what I have to do is if the project fundraising is successful, then I will send out a survey that all the backers will fill out for those who will get rewards shipped to them. BEWARE! There is a chance that the calandar may be sent to the address on the credit card that I used.....but I wanted to send it as a gift to a kid. Do not try to send gifts here...you cannot do it! My faith in fairies has been crushed.
I paid $25 in the expectation that I would get a calendar. My money was taken but there was no place or chance to enter a mailing address,,,,,good scam....
Good luck on this. Love what you do. I think you need to update this video with footage of you doing what you do - especially blowing kids' minds at festivals - even just your YT stuff. This would definitely help with the fundraising.
