About this project
TWEED TheaterWorks, a non-profit theater company, has produced theater for 20+ years with artists such as Lypsinka, John Kelly, Jackie Hoffman, Jeff Whitty (Avenue Q), and Julie Halston, to name a few. We are great at doing fundraisers for other people (God's Love We Deliver & The Actor's Fund), but kind of suck at doing them for ourselves!
TWEED is developing a project with Tom Judson (aka Gus Mattox) called CANNED HAM, and we need your help to raise the money for a deposit on a theater to produce a run in New York.
We are asking for pledges for advanced ticket sales to support the project (pledge levels are outlined in the right column). For most of the levels you will not only receive an incentive, but also can claim a tax-deductible donation to TWEED since we are a 501c3!
If you are not in New York, but still want to donate to the cause you will receive a tax deduction of the full amount donated.
About CANNED HAM
CANNED HAM is an insider 'show-biz musical' that recounts the true life adventures of Tom, an established actor On and Off Broadway, who, at age 43, became a gay porn star "Gus Mattox". Tom's theater career was thriving, and he was composing music for films and television (including Metropolitan, MTV and even Sesame Street) when he made an unexpected splash in the porn world as Mattox. To date he is still the oldest recipient of the GayVN 'Performer of the Year' Awards, the porn industry's Oscar!
In this moving and hilarious show, Judson accompanies himself on the accordion, trumpet and piano while revealing what it's really like on the set of a porn movie (and explaining that being a male escort can have some surprisingly touching moments...).

Canned Ham Tour - 2010
Tom will be touring the country in the famed Canned Ham throughout 2010 performing the show. If you would like for him to perform in your city please send us venue suggestions - or better yet - send us contacts at the venue. We can be reached via email at robbi@kearnsartistservices.com.
