@Thomas: I'm sorry, I didn't see your emails from earlier; I've been pretty swamped with the results from Maker Faire NYC.
Our shipping folks had crossed your name off the list because there was a package that was shipped out. I have no records of the second package going out, so I'm going to assume it never left and replace it on my end. It'll go out this coming Saturday and I'll have a tracking number to you by then.
If you email me from the customer service email from the webstore, I'll see that a lot faster. Kickstarter does n't forward emails and I am not always checking my KS messages. Thanks!

Creator Thomas on October 17, 2012
Hi Terence,
I already sent you two personal messages on Kickstarter, maybe they got lost somewhere. I'm still missing the second of the two kits I ordered. Any infos about this one?
Creator Terence Tam on September 26, 2012
I'll get a replacement out to you next week (when I'm back from Maker Faire NY). Sorry about that!
Creator Ed L on September 26, 2012
the Camera kit with carbon fiber rod upgrade hasnt been seen, was added on to the The Roboticist / Machine Builder Kit , which arrived way back .
Creator Terence Tam on September 25, 2012
They went out over a month ago - are you still missing yours?
Creator Ed L on September 25, 2012
Whats going on with camera rig builder kits ?
See you've been keeping the Trebuchet kit backers up to date .
Creator Arturo Pérez Mulas on September 11, 2012
@Terence, I was sure of that, just wanted to ask people around about what they are building! I have been seriously sick and haven't had the chance to do anything just yet myself.
Creator Terence Tam on September 10, 2012
There is a forum in the works and under beta testing. Thanks.
Creator Arturo Pérez Mulas on September 10, 2012
Ok, guys... since the forum idea seems to be stalled, does anyone have anything built with openbeam you'd like to share with the community?
Creator Terence Tam on August 22, 2012
@Joshua - Check out the OpenRail project:

Creator Joshua Pearce on August 22, 2012
Hi Terence
Have you or anyone else come up with a linear bearing system for open beam yet?
Thanks
Joshua
Creator Angustimus on August 15, 2012
Hi Terence,
My package arrived this morning in Australia, as others have said, it was really well packed.
I wish all kickstarter projects were as clear and professional as yours!
Creator Todd Phelps on August 15, 2012
Hi Terence,
10 days ago your blog said all the Canadian orders shipped but mine hasn't arrived and I'm not too far away (Alberta)... were there tracking numbers for the Canadian shipments? If so could you dig mine up? Thanks!
Creator John Chen on August 12, 2012
Hi Terence - Received my Grandmaster kit last Tuesday and was finally able to completely unpacked it today. Wonderful packaging, practically had to destroy the tubes to get to the suspended OpenBeams inside. Your attention to details are extraordinary! Thank you sir!
Creator Terence Tam on August 9, 2012
@Charles - Yes, please. All Seattle orders are held at Metrix - and unfortunately the packaging was done before our shipping drop tests, so I have to unpack and repack all of them before I can ship them.
@Arturo - We have European distributorship in the works already. As for a forum, that had been the top request so far, to the point where I have to do something about it. (I'm guessing the Facebook page isn't good enough).
I played with Google Groups for a bit, but I wasn't especially impressed with it. I don't want a half-assed solution that we'll outgrow in 3 months, so I'm looking at doing it right and getting a PHPBB board hosted somewhere.
Creator Charles Alvis on August 8, 2012
Hi Terence,
Do you want me to come pick up my reward since I am local?
Creator Arturo Pérez Mulas on August 8, 2012
My reward arrived today in Spain after 30€ in customs. Everything perfect, as it has been al along this wonderful project. Thanks, Terence. You have led the most successfully fulfilled and best managed project of the many I have backed here in kickstarter.
Now, and while I am still here, I have two requests: an European reseller and some tutorials/projects/forum.
Thanks again
Creator MaxMoxan on August 6, 2012

Creator MaxMoxan on August 6, 2012

Creator Thomas on August 6, 2012
Got it today – LOVE IT!!! Looks (and feels) very well made. Thank you Terence for your hard work.
Creator Tim VanVranken on August 5, 2012
Awesome stuff. Can't wait to actually get time to build something with it. I think the first project is going to be a picavet. Engineer friend of mine is quite impressed with the stuff too. Thanks Terence!
Creator Sam Vilain on August 4, 2012
Great! I was looking forward to seeing that. This is a nice kit, and well packaged ;-)
Creator Terence Tam on August 4, 2012
Hi Sam,
I'm shipping those out later this week. I still have to sign them and I'm running a bit behind on those.
Creator Sam Vilain on August 3, 2012
Hey, just a heads up—I didn't get any engineering prints with my $375 kit. Can you e–mail me a soft copy? Thanks.
Creator Terence Tam on July 31, 2012
Hi John,
I havent' released anything on the camera rig builder kit yet. That will probably happen sometime in August. As for the missing shaft clamps - sorry about that. Send me an email with the order # and I'll get it out to you.
-=- Terence
Creator John Barrett on July 30, 2012
I just received the Camera Rig Builder Kit today. The metal end was crushed and the wooden insert was bent, but I think everything else survived. Are there any plans on how to assemble it into the rig? I'll play around a bit, but why re-invent the wheel (or rig in this case). I also noticed that in a blog post you state that if you didn't get a shaft clamp, you would send one. I'm not sure if that is something just for the folks in Seattle or in general, but I didn't get one. Thanks for a very cool product / project.
Creator Charlie on July 30, 2012
My order arrived and was exactly as promised. Every piece of the OpenBeam construction system is high quality. The constant communication was fantastic, and it is clear Terence worked very hard to make sure this project was an incredible success. The OpenBeam kickstarter project puts other projects to shame in terms of fantastic communication, detailed updates, business planning, staying on schedule, getting media attention, handling bumps in the road, and most importantly delivering the products described on the Kickstarter page.
Creator Jay Miley on July 29, 2012
Order arrived, albeit a little delayed.
Excellent product!
Excellent documentation of the process!
Time to start the quadcopter frame and timelapse dolly cart.
Creator Ryan Harrell on July 25, 2012
Order arrived intact and earlier than I expected! Great project and very glad I backed! I'm already building a robot chassis out of it. Great stuff! Where should I post build details?
Creator Patrick Roberts on July 24, 2012
Amazing job, detailing every step of the way with great communication (Even a Gantt Chart!) by far one of the best kickstarters I have been part of.
The product is also top of the line, and I look forward to using it in many different projects.
Creator Mark Adams on July 21, 2012
My order arrived in the DC area perfectly intact- we are well on the way to building our robot hexapod with them- thanks!
Creator Stephen Birmingham on July 20, 2012
Got my tube in the mail today, the end caps were dented but still very well stuck in there. Everything looks really nice and its even sturdier than I thought it would be.
Creator Ryan on July 19, 2012
Got my package today, great job!! Of course I wish I'd ordered more. Congrats on a great kicker, and I'll back your next project matter what it is!
Creator Kevin Lepard on July 19, 2012
@Terrence
Liked the facebook page almost as soon as it came up, so yes. :-) OpenBeam is GREAT stuff for anyone who wants to build.
Creator Terence Tam on July 19, 2012
@Tommy - AWESOME! I beat the iPhone dock! :-D
@Ryan, Steve, Peter, and Mark - Thanks! Looking forward to seeing what you'll build...
@Andreas - European orders have just started leaving my dock 2 days ago. It's about 5-7 business days transit.
Creator Andreas Herz on July 19, 2012
Did anyone in europe received the OpenBeam?
Greetings
Creator Mark Koch on July 19, 2012
Arrived on the 17th to Las Vegas. Package and contents in perfect shape.

Creator Peter Lessels on July 18, 2012
Package just arrived (New Hampshire). Very happy with everything. Had to yank on the end caps with heavy pliers to get them out, so they are definitely doing their job. Quality on all items is excellent.
Creator Steve T on July 18, 2012
Package arrived exactly as promised and earlier than expected. Now I wish I'd added a bunch more. You have done an excellent job with this project. The updates and communication could not have been better. Thank you.
Creator Ryan Erickson on July 18, 2012
My wife tells me a "strange-looking package" arrived for me.
Sadly I'm out of the country this week...
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!
Thanks for the fantastic job, Terrence.
I look forward to getting home and starting to play with it.
Creator David Grundler on July 17, 2012
Package just arrived. Everything looks great. Container held together nicely. Had to physically cut the end of the tube to get it open. I am very pleased with the whole process from start to finish. Thanks!
Creator Andreas Herz on July 17, 2012
Is the international shipping on the run? I can't wait :-)
Greetings Andreas
Creator Tommy Thorn on July 12, 2012
I wanted to add: of my (too) many backed kickstarter projects, this is the first to actually deliver. I really did not expect this to be the first, but it speaks to your professionalism and repeated over-delivery. Bravo!
I look forward to see OpenBeam-based projects. The race is on to see who creates the first OpenBeam-based 3D printer :)
Creator Terence Tam on July 12, 2012
@Tommy, Kevin and Bob - great that the packages survived shipping! I'm relieved, all the testing is paying off.
@Arturo - Have you liked our page on Facebook? Turns out, it's been a pretty good place for questions and answers there, and people can post pictures of their builds.

Creator Tommy Thorn on July 12, 2012
I received my package yesterday. Very sturdy packaging, everything looks great. Thanks.
Creator Kevin Lepard on July 11, 2012
Received my packages today. Everything arrived in good condition. Looking forward to my first project.
Creator Terence Tam on July 11, 2012
@Arturo - a forum would be cool. It also requires resources that I currently don't have at the moment.
I do encourage people to blog and share their builds. Actually, once things gets going, I plan on having OpenBeam contests, where we select a winner and runner ups and shower them with gift certificates to the OpenBeam webstore, in exchange for them documenting and sharing their builds.
But first, I need to put another dent in that backlog of orders. I've shipped another batch of orders out and am waiting for favorable feedback from everyone - we've just scheduled the next big Fedex pickup for this Friday. :-)
Creator Arturo Pérez Mulas on July 11, 2012
@Terence, I am sure you have your hands full at this moment, but it would be great if you could add in your openbeam page a forum or the like where people could share their builds... Not having much experience in this, I really long to see what people can do!!!!!
Creator Bob Puckett on July 10, 2012
Got 2 packages. Both in great shape! Can't wait to get started. Thanks so much.
Creator Oleksiy Pikalo on July 9, 2012
Got all the goods in a beautiful package and started building robots within minutes, great job Terence!
