About this project

        Raising The Human Consciousness Project

I have found that people believe they are powerless. I wish to invalidate this premise by documenting a journey that is all about people and the power of love. For this project: I wish to traverse the American landscape in a converted solar camper for 55 days to engage the minds of America. This voyage will begin on March 17th 2012 and wrap up on May 10th 2012.  Project Question: Can one person effectively and inexpensively get Art and Truth to the masses with a do-it-yourself work ethic and communal support from you? Will you join me in discovering how much of the masses I can reach within 55 days? The success of this endeavor will be evident by: the number of new "likes" on the Truths89 Facebook Fan Page; new followers on the Tumblr and Twitter Account; number of subscribers and views on the YouTube Page; and the website traffic can be tabulated by Google Analytics.

While on the road, I will film, record, photograph, and write about things that intrigue me. I am eager to understand and deconstruct the intricacies of the human narrative. All work will be posted/uploaded to Truths89.com, Vimeo, and Youtube, on a daily basis. I encourage you to visit and share Truths89.com.

                                     Who Am I

Zisa O. is my name, and I have embarked upon an evolutionary journey. Incidentally, while enrolled in college, I began to think critically about the world and its people. After experiencing an existential crisis in 2009, I took a year off from Smith College to WWOOF in Argentina and live in New York. I returned in the fall of 2010 to complete my senior year of college. I earned a B.A. in Sociology and African-American Studies.

After extensive contemplation, I wish to expatiate. Because I love humanity, I have decided to dedicate my life to evolving, and raising the consciousness of my fellow humans.

I have been living, traveling, and making art since graduation. I have meandered through a dozen states, and several cities, with just a backpack. I now wish to upgrade my means of transport into an Art Vessel. It is imperative that I produce work that is accessible, and therefore, mobile and interactive.

The ART I create is concentrated on consciousness and its discovery. I am a poet, essayist, lyricist, photographer, documentarian, and journalist; but I prefer to say, ‘I emanate sound @ Truths89.com.’

As for budgeting, I have a preference for used/ affordable/ free stuff. I will procure resources from Craigslist, eBay and Amazon. In Oakland, I can get materials for the Art Vessel at Urban Ore.

 
I have underestimated my budget, by about 9k, to increase the likelihood that this project is fully funded; however, I can assure you that all funds will support my mission—Reminding people about Love, Evolution and Transcendence.
