About this project

Tramaine Montell Ford has a hilarious & inspirational story to tell about growing up in one of America's most dangerous Housing Projects, Cabrini Green. Conceived last year, "The Tramaine Experience : A One Man Show" is a dramatic comedy about 5 individuals wanting to pursue a goal in a neighborhood that breeds many obstacles. Told through comedy, drama, music, dance and hilarious unforgettable characters, this project needs your help to continue development and have it's next showing this summer!

The mission statement of "The Tramaine Experience" is to use comedy and laughter to make people think and inspire individuals to push through their circumstantial obstacles toward worthy life goals and dreams. It's ultimate goal is to raise funds for other inner city youth in an economically and educationally disadvantaged neighborhood, Cabrini Green, by donating a portion of it's profit to Cabrini Connections Tutor Mentor Program [http://cabriniconnections.net/alumni-fund], but we need to kickstart it on it's feet to have showings and find a Producer.

Donations collected here will go toward rental of performance venue, venue insurance, lighting/sound, rehearsal space, costumes, props, programs, marquee poster, promotion, etc.

Intended date is Saturday August 7th 2010!

Tramaine Montell Ford (born Jan 31) is an American actor, comedian, singer, dancer, choreographer, model, and voice-over artist born in the notorious Cabrini Green Housing Projects in Chicago, IL. Recently recognized and featured on NBC News as an upcoming rising star in 2009, holds a BFA in Acting from Syracuse University's Department of Drama and is now based out of New York City.

Credits include Saturday Night Live, Disney's Aida (International Tour), ABC’s One Life To Live, The Oprah Winfrey Show, Hamlet, Hairspray (2007 film), The Today Show, The Alvin Ailey School, Lady Gaga (dancer), College Humor, and his One Man Show “The Tramaine Experience”.
