Update #3: Oh well.
Oh well.
We didn't reach our goal, and our show will not be funded.
But worry not...
Slum Lord will live on.
One day, we will find a way to make our little independent series a reality.
For now, we've entered the preview short into film festivals around the world, and we're working on submitting it to any networks who might be interested in a semi-blasphemous show about a man named Jesus.
With any luck, you'll be hearing a lot about Slum Lord in the new year.
For now, stay tuned to SLUM-LORD.com for more information—and follow us on Facebook at facebook.com/SlumLordComedy.
Thank you again to everyone who believed in us, and to everyone who contributed. We truly appreciate your support.

Update #2: 32%
Hey gang!
First thing's first: Thank you again to all of our contributors for their support—we're nearly a third of the way there, thanks to you!
But we've actually fallen a little behind. We have only 27 days remaining to drum up that final $3,399. That means we've got to average $125 a day for the rest of this campaign to meet our goal of $5,000.
I don't doubt for a second that we'll be able to do it, but just in case, if you haven't already done so: make your pledges now!
And remember to spread the word about Slum Lord to all your friends and family:
Let them know it's an independent production and we're scrounging for every cent we can get. Let them know it's a comedy for everyone, particularly those of us who live in "flyover land." Let them know we're striving to populate our show with a rich cast of characters, and that they too can become one of them with a walk-on role! Let them know that for just a buck they can become a part of this one-of-a-kind production and hopefully watch as it grows into the unheralded, crowd-funded, independent success we all know it can be.
Send people to http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/tpitman/slum-lord-a-comedy-of-the-highest-order to make their pledges — or use the Tweet-friendly http://kck.st/vmuK7A
Slum Lord is only as good as your contributions make it, so let's band together and make sure we get to do this thing the right way: Together!
Thank you for your support.
