Final deck proofs and the Operation LAPIS promo poster!
We have just one week left to go in the campaign. It has been such an exciting experience for all of us, thank you so much for the support. Hopefully everyone can pitch in and help us spread the word about CARD-tamen™ Rome and see if we can't push that final tally higher. I would love to have to order even more decks that I originally planned on for this first batch!
The poster proofs came this past week as well -- some good news and some bad news. The 18"x24" high-gloss posters are absolutely stunning, I've attached a picture to this update. I'm so impressed with the quality and color. The 24"x36" posters, on the other hand, are not at the same quality level as their smaller counterparts. I don't think the printing quality is as good and the finish (because glossy is not an option at that size) just isn't up to my standards.
For everyone who contributed at a level that would have received 24"x36" poster, I have two options for you at the end of the campaign. Either you can have the 24"x36" poster (knowing that it isn't as nice as the smaller 18"x24" one) or we'll send you two (2) of the 18"x24" posters - one signed by the team, one clean.
The final deck proofs came and there are just a couple very minor tweaks to make. Again, thank you to everyone for making this become a reality and let's make one more big push to spread the word. We are aiming to do some pretty important things with regards to shifting perceptions on what learning and assessment can look like with both our card games and our practomimetic ("game-based") learning. While we're mostly a bunch of classicists working on Latin and Greek curricula, the potential to bring this idea to other disciplines is there and we'd love to make that happen. The Kickstarter Campaign is our vehicle for starting down that long road.
