If no one calls me in the city I get upset
Hi everyone. It's Andrew again with an update for you. As Tom mentioned earlier, we're in talks with a printer now about producing How to Doodle with a very cool, very serious hardcover binding. We'll pass on more to you when we know it, but it's shaping up to be QUITE NICE.
Meanwhile, let me take a moment to CHIT CHAT with you about one of the REWARDS we're offering: the ever-mysterious BIRTHDAY CARD (yours with a number of other goodies if you donate at the $60 level or above). As the informative sidebar to the right says, we are a pair of birthday card ENTHUSIASTS. For years we have been making silly birthday cards for each other and for our friends, at the expense of a lot of rubber cement (and, thanks to the fumes, probably a few wrinkles in our brains).
Now, when you give at the appropriate level and instruct us to make a birthday card FOR YOU, we'll send you a questionnaire. Picture something like this, and you'll have good idea of what we'll ask of you. Once we get your answers, we'll go to our shelves of collage materials (which encompass rare books, antique magazines, art postcards, et cetera, which we keep around to cut up into jokes) and GO WILD on a CUSTOM and UNIQUE birthday card TAILORED to your ANSWERS ALLRIGHT.
The result will be something like you see below. Tom gave this to me for my birthday a few years ago, and as you can see, it is part of his "minimalist phase." Keep in mind this is ONLY THE COVER. The inside and back delivered plenty more what this promised.
If you're thinking or planning of donating at the "birthday card level" (or higher), think about whether you want a card for yourself or for a friend of yours. And let us know when that birthday falls--if it happens to be in December or January or February, we can put it in our "rush order" queue to make sure it arrives in time for the special day. SPECIAL DAY BYEBYE
