Update #26: Unbelievably MORE sketches!
Hey, guys. Got a few more sketches for you to check out. Trying to get as many of them wrapped up before the we move on the 22nd. I think I have about 17 left to go. I've hit my stride and am finishing two or three a night. Of course, I still have to try to find time to pack!
Enjoy these sketches. If you haven't received your book yet, you will soon!
Thanks for your patience!
Update #25: More sketches!
Hey, gang. Checking in with a boatload of completed sketches from the Year Three pre-orders. I'm working as fast as I can, but I also want to make sure you guys get the best of me in these sketches. I'm putting a lot of work into them and I hope you like them.
As you may or may not know, Cami and I are packing up the kids and moving to a new house on September 20. So that's giving me extra incentive to finish an ship as many of these books as possible so I don't have to box them up and move them. But, as you can imagine, it's hard when you have the responsibility of packing up your belongings on a limited timetable.
At any rate, check out these sketches and thanks again for your patience!
Update #24: More sketches. Making traction!
Hey, guys. Wanted to share a few more sketches will you. I finally feel like I'm starting to make some traction with these. Last week I was churning out a couple of sketches per night and it was a good feeling. Of course, it helps that I didn't have night class. Anyway, enjoy!

Update #23: A Few More Sketches
Hey, guys. Back for another round of apologizing and hand-wringing.
I've been pretty busy this summer with my night classes in pursuit of my Masters Degree in Communication Leadership. I just recently finished a class I was going to two nights a week. It was absorbing a lot of my time.
I don't know how many of you are following my blog on Theater Hopper or not, but if you aren't... I recently announced a new schedule of updates of only once a week instead of three times a week. The reason being my Master's Degree, the kids and a new job I started on June 7. I'm up to my eyeballs in work right now - compounded by the fact that we just put an offer on a house!
So, yeah. Things are crazy as usual. I'm trying to work as fast as I can on the sketches I still owe people. I certainly don't want to be in the position of having to move a lot of books in envelopes that could have been mailed off earlier!
In the meantime, I have a few more sketches to share with you guys and want to thank you again for your patience.
Update #22: More Sketches!
I'm trying to stay on top of these, uploading them as I finish them. So here's four more custom sketches for the people who paid for them along with their order of Theater Hopper - Year Three!
Update #21: Books are being sent!
Hey, everyone. Just popping in here to let you know that I haven't forgotten about you.
I'm working as fast as I can drawing custom sketches and sending out books. A few of them have already been mailed. In fact, there are a few sketches at the bottom of this post for you to look at.
The delay is basically the same-old, same-old. Between taking care of Pearl during the day, taking care of Henry in the evening and catching up on household chores after everyone is asleep, there's not much time in the day for anything else. Add a night class into the mix and there's even less time.
But I don't want to rush the sketches I'm doing for you guys. I want them to look good. I don't wanna slap a doodle in there and send it off thinking "Good enough."
Just know that I'm drawing a little bit every day and keeping things organized so you guys get what you paid for. I have a box full of envelopes in my car and take a handful of them to the post office whenever I'm out and about, running errands with Pearl. So a few of them are mailed every couple of days.
Again, sorry for the delay. Just letting you know where things stand.
Talk to you soon.

Was so happy when I got mine in the mail the other day. Took me a while to remember what the hell I was getting from America.

Update #20: I'm getting there!...
Hey, guys. I know it's been a while since I checked in and I know I owe you a status update.
Things are moving a little more slowly than I would like, but I wanted to let you know that I'm making progress.
I wanted to let you know that I've addressed and packaged all of the Year Three orders. By "packaged", I mean that all of the books have been signed and numbered. If I owe you a sketch, that has not been finished yet. But if you simply ordered a book without the bells and whistles, I will be mailing it out to you shortly.
I attached the picture below to give you a sense of what I'm up against. The envelopes in the box on the right are those that are ready to be mailed. Everything else still needs a sketch. And I haven't even gotten to the orders that paid for additional books. So that stack of envelopes isn't truly representative of what I have to ship in the near future. There's probably another 50 envelopes that need to be addressed and packaged up.
I know I'm full of excuses, but I'm trying as hard as I can. Before I was let go from my contract job two weeks ago, I thought I would have more time to work on orders. But what was true before I became unemployed again is still true now. Right now I'm at home watching Pearl during the day and there is still very little time at the end of the day to get much work done. Throw into the mix my preparation efforts for C2E2 and, well, I'm just not working with a surplus of time.
But I'm doing my best to get these books out to you as soon as possible. I appreciate everyone's patience and support and hope to have more updates for you soon!
If anyone has questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me directly at theaterhopper@hotmail.com
THANKS AGAIN!

Update #18: THEY'RE HERE!
Cami just sent me an e-mail to notify me that the printer has delivered the books to the house.
That means I can start shipping them out to you this week!
WOO HOO!
Update #17: Thank You Page Is Live!
Hey, guys.
I just wanted to let you know that the Theater Hopper: Year Three Backers page is now live at Theater Hopper and you can view it here:
http://www.theaterhopper.com/theater-hopper-year-three-backers/
If you have a link you would like associated with your name, let me know and I will add it. You can either e-mail me at theaterhopper@hotmail.com or leave your URL in the comments section of this post and I will grab it.
Again, I appreciate everyone's support and patience as the books are being published.
The good news is that I should be receiving the books sometime this week! So, hopefully, I can take the weekend to sign and number all of the books before sending out a few of them on Monday.
Once I start working on the custom artwork for some of the orders, I will post the images here, on Twitter and on Facebook. Get ready and thanks again!

Update #16: PDF copy of Year Three now available!
Update #15: Massive Update
Hey, guys.
I know it's been a while since I've updated you with any information regarding the book, but there's been a lot of activity lately and I wanted to bring everyone up to speed.
The book was submitted to the printer last week and I received proofs for correction on Saturday. I made some changes (typos, pagination errors) and returned the corrected files on Monday. My printer should be receiving those documents today. So, with luck, they'll begin printing the books today or tomorrow.
A paper delay at the warehouse put the book off pace for a couple of days. The original estimate is that I would receive the books on February 24. They've revised that estimate to February 26. Not a big deal. For the sake of clarity, I think it's best to assume at this point that I will start shipping your books on March 1.
Before I can do that, I need to number and sign 400 books. I also owe several of you custom artwork. So some of your will be receiving your books a little later than others, but I plan on shipping all throughout the month of March. So it won't be long now! I plan on updating my Twitter account and the Theater Hopper Facebook page with pictures of the custom artwork. Those images will also show up in this feed so you can see the progress that I'm making. So, for anyone who has been frustrated by the lack of communication, get ready for a flurry of activity!
I'm really looking forward to doing the custom artwork. You guys submitted excellent requests! Hopefully, you'll get a kick out of seeing what others asked for in their books as well.
In other news, I received the t-shirts I'm using to reward those who pledged $65 or more and shipped those out on Monday. So, hopefully, you should be receiving them today. Take a picture of yourself wearing the shirt and e-mail it to me!. I'd like to put those pictures on the Facebook account as well!
The 1" button sets are still in development. I have a couple of them designed, but still need to figure out a couple more. I'm sending those poly-bagged on a stock card and I think you'll like how those turned out.
Since the book layout is finished, I plan on sending everyone who pledged above $5 a PDF copy of the book in advance of the physical book being shipped out. Look for those in your mailbox soon.
And, of course, I still need to add everyone's name to the Thank You page on the Theater Hopper site. But that shouldn't take very long.
Again, I apologize for the lack of communication. I should have stayed more on top of things. But since my daughter was born in December, I literally have a few hours a night to get anything done. I've been focused on producing the shirts and putting the finishing touches on the book and, unfortunately, updates went to the wayside.
But like I said, the gears are in motion now and I can stop worrying about the books until they show up on my doorstep. Until then, there will be more updates and activity on this page.
Thanks again to everyone for their patience and support!

Update #14: Things are moving!
Hey, guys. It's been a while since I've posted an update, but I wanted to let you know that the artwork for the 3-D glasses t-shirt have been sent to the printer. I hope to have those back in a couple of weeks.
I've also been in touch with my printer about the books, but, unfortunately, have not heard back yet. The books are ready to go, though. Everyone's name has been added to the Thank You page and I'm ready to get started on the sketches you guys requested!
Thanks again for your patience and your support. I hope to have more information for you soon!
Update #13: We Did It!
Update #12: Monsters, Inc. artwork and DVD giveaway winner announced!
So I know it's been a long time coming, but here it is - the video I promised you choosing the winner for the Monsters, Inc. artwork and DVD giveaway.
Believe it or not, but I actually taped this on Saturday, December 5 - two days after my daughter Pearl was born. I managed to record the video, but was too tired to edit it. Three weeks later, I'm still pretty tired, but we're working our way into a routine and I was able to carve out an hour or two to edit this thing.
Of course, since recording this video, we've collected the pledges we need to produce the third book - and I'm overjoyed. I'm trying to figure out if I have time to do the Iron Man artwork and DVD giveaway I had talked about earlier in the campaign. Is there still interest in that? Let me know in the comments below.
Until then, enjoy this video and expect more communication from me in the next few days as we zero in on the December 31 deadline.
Thanks again to everyone who has pledged their support!

Very good incentive for all the people who were on the "nice" list this year and decided to support your awesome work! I am a long time fan and have bought many items including both books(I guess I should say all THREE now) and some T-shirts. Keep up the amazing work and I hope to see many more books to come!

Yes you should do the Iron Man giveaway. I'd like a chance at winning it. You did set it as a pledge amount prize. But your family has you busy too. Please try to do it.
