The Institution Theater Kickstarter Campaign is now officially over and it was very, very successful! Thank you so much to the 294 Backers who helped The Institution Theater raise $22,415! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! We promise that we will not let you down and we will make you very proud as we build an awesome theater and put up great work in Austin, Texas!
To keep you posted on our progress, I plan to send you weekly updates every Monday afternoon. I will let you know how our theater and our projects are coming together so you can see that you were indeed part of building something great!
Thank you again for your support. Your support and encouragement will help a lot of people pursue their dreams. We couldn't do it without you.

Update #4: WE DID IT!!!
We did it! The Institution Theater Kickstarter Campaign has reached our goal of $20,000! Thank you to each and every one of you who helped us out by backing our projects! We couldn't have done it without you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! We promise that we will not let you down and we will work very, very hard to make you proud.
If you have any friends that would like to help build The Institution Theater and fund four original shows, please tell them that they only have 44 hours to do so! Our Kickstarter Fundraising Campaign will end at noon (Texas Time) on Thursday, February 16th.
Thanks again for helping us out. You have made a lot of people in Austin, Texas extremely happy. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to continue to chase our dreams! I can honestly tell you that we couldn't do it without your help.

Update #3: It's Crunch Time!
Hey Everybody!
Okay. It's crunch time. As of right now we have raised $17,230. We need to raise an additional $2,770 to reach our goal on Kickstarter.com by noon on Thursday, Feb. 16th. If we don't reach our $20,000 goal, we don't get any money. That's the way it works. It's an all or nothing/go for broke kind of deal!
I'm sorry if I'm bombarding you with too many emails but operating a theater has always been a dream of mine. And we're helping a lot of other people have fun, grow artistically and achieve their dreams. And that really makes me feel good. So I am doing whatever I can to make this thing happen.
That's why I am sending out this Update to ask you to please continue your support and help spread the word about The Institution Theater's Kickstarter Campain so that we can give more people the opportunity to help build something great in Austin, Texas! Thank you so much for your help!

Update #2: A Short Film For Stephen Colbert!
Comedy Central pundit, Stephen Colbert, has a Super PAC with more than a million dollars. Asaf Ronen and I created a video (with tons of help from the ever so awesome Christine Giordano) with the hope of convincing Mr. Colbert to give us $10,000 of his Super PAC money. In return, we will create an original musical for Stephen Colbert based on the subject of his choosing AND we will name our theater The Stephen Colbert Theatert!

Update #1: We're getting there! (But we could use a little push.)
Hey Everybody!
I want to thank you so much for backing The Institution Theater and helping us build our space so that we can continue to teach and learn and put up great shows that will entertain and delight people for years to come! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! You have been very generous and your belief in The Institution Theater is both heart warming and humbling. I promise that we will not let you down.
With only 8 days to go with our Kickstarter Campaign, we have collected $10,758. Although we are still well shy of our $20,000 goal, we have momentum, enthusiasm and 8 days to make this happen. We also have people like you. We can do this.
I know that you are excited about building something great and providing an opportunity for people to create and grow artistically. Now let's see if we can get our friends and family members excited about this project, too! I have been studying and teaching Improvisation since 1986. I've studied at The Second City and IO in Chicago. And I was a Founding Member of Chicago's Annoyance Theater. I taught at The Second City Training Center in Los Angeles from 2001 to 2007. I moved to Austin in 2007 to create an Improv School and Theater. I have been in a few movies, a handful of tv shows and over 80 commercials. I'm a very nice person that is exceptionally good with small animals.
