Hello everyone!  Thanks for checking out Spectracles, your newest pair of sunglasses OR diffraction glasses!  You can pre-order a pair by pledging $25 or more (click the green button on the right).  We're keeping prices below retail for Kickstarter backers.

Spectracles are glasses with two sets of lenses.  The front lenses flip up like the DeLorean (or Lamborghini) with just a flick of the finger.  (Spectracles are patent-pending.)

What you see in the video and style shots are prototypes.  To take Spectracles to the next level, we need your help.

If we reach our goal, we'll invest in an injection mold, which will allow us to put Spectracles in your hand by June.  Your Spectracles will feature lasercut lenses, and flex hinges for an ultra-comfortable fit.  Here are the three standard models.

For a little bit more, you can opt for custom lenses.

UPDATE: we've added 3D red / blue lenses!

Just pick a frame: yellow, turquoise, or brown, and a lens from the grid, and we'll install them for you.  You can visualize the options at coolbeams.com. UPDATE: we've added the white / turquoise frame from the cover photo!

Also, note that all of our diffraction glasses are made with double-diffraction -- much stronger than a typical diffraction lens.
