I'M GOING TO PHOTOGRAPH THE INTERESTING THINGS IN LIFE, THEN SHOVE THEM INTO A MAGAZINE. FOR YOU!
The Explaination:
I don't really have one. I don't have a solid explanation for what I'm doing with my photography on a grand scale. Oh, or for the video.
The video isn't the usual “here's me talking about my project” sort of thing. In a sense, it is the project. I don't have a specific cause to document, or a passion about something that I've spent years chasing. I just have life; I have days where I sleep for 2 hours, then end up making a dress for the first time for a girl that has never bought a dress, then photographing the results.

I have opportunities to create art and (hopefully) get better at what I do while I'm just hanging out with someone I've just met; enjoying a smile I haven't seen before.
So, I guess I use photography to capture a bit of life. And life goes on, so I want to make something out of that.
The Project
I want to make one issue of a magazine. Nothing too fancy, just a 20 page collection of photography from wherever I am in life for that issue, an interview or story or two, (and in the future, work from other contributors. I know a handful of artists, photographers, writers, and people that should be one or all of these things but are stuck in the dull "work until you die" phase of life and could use a good excuse to break out.)
For this first issue it'll just be me, but I'll be able to gauge the feasibility of making more from this Kickstarter project. For all that are interested I'll be building a mailing list to keep all subscribers updated on when each issue will be made.
For anyone who doesn't/can't contribute to the project, you will still be able to read an online version for free once the physical version is done. Holding something tangible in your hands is important, but I love giving things away too much to just flat out charge you for something I create if I don't have to.
The Money
"What is the money for?" Good question. It is for: film, developing film, paying someone to help format the magazine (I have to learn how this tech stuff works eventually), and shipping. In other words, making the magazine and getting it to you.
If you read all of that, thank you so much for spending some time on that! If you feel up to donating to the project, I will give you my first born child! (seriously, if I ever have a kid you can take him. I'm too poor to support offspring.) If you just want to wait and see if this magazine thing works out so you can read it for free, that's cool too! As long as you come back and read it, we're still cool.
