Todd, I did receive the books and read it as soon as I got it.
Thought it was wonderful, can't wait for the second!!

Hi Todd -- I have a Kindle, so of course I'd want to read it in that format. I understand your concerns about Amazon and pricing across other platforms -- I would have intended to do the same thing, use Smashwords as the aggregator for other formats, but the thought of having my book constantly bouncing off Amazon's shelves anytime someone elsewhere discounted it would be really frustrating.

As for price, I don't think $0.99 is too low, even for a full-length book -- that is to say, I wouldn't automatically look at that price and think the book must not be very good. I would say the $2-$3 range would be the sweet spot for me, but I'd pay as much as $5 (or more, if it's a book I really want from a favorite author -- but I will generally buy the most inexpensive format, even if it's not digital, to get the most book for my buck).

Take the time to do it right. I it seems you have gone from a revision, to a retelling / reinvention of the story. If you are going to re-do a work to make it the best possible form of itself, why rush and release it before it is your best?

Hi, Amelia. I vote for quality -- you and Todd should take the time you need to feel satisfied with the final product. Holiday shopping is nice and all that, but rushing to meet that deadline won't do any of us any favors in the long run. That's my .02.

Anyone that's considering getting on board, now's a good time. Let's back this thing to the hilt and give Todd the support he needs to get his creation published the way it's meant to be.

No worries, my hot toddy. It's not a question of IF you'll make your goal--simply how far past it you'll go. ;)
