After a hectic month, cards have arrived! Surveys are being sent out and I'll begin shipping out the cards on Monday.

Just received an email from the USPCC with that lovely sentence in it.  Once the money wiring goes through and they ship it to me, I will begin to furiously package and ship them out to you!

Sorry for a slight lag in the update here.  Finals week + final projects + post-final hibernation etc.

Anyhow, latest update from USPCC as of Dec 18, 2012:
1) Cards are in production
2) Shipping estimate update from them will come the 8th

Unfortunately, and I'm really disappointed, these will not be available for Christmas.  I apologize to everyone for this and if/when I produce a new project, I will make sure this doesn't happen again.

Regarding the Stealth Decks:

I had no part in the design of that project.  I have contacted the creator of that deck and this is what he had to say:

"In all honesty I did not in anyway copy your pip designs. Its a very simple design anyone could of came up with, I simply made the pips squared instead of round. But I would like to say I never seen your deck of cards until after my kickstarter launched. It was brought to my attention by one of my backers."

So I will give him the benefit of the doubt and just let it slide.  It is difficult to really pursue any copyright infringement when it comes to the pips because they really are just variation of a standard typographic/design.  The circular arrangement of the pips would be a better case for infringement should anyone copy it, especially since it is in the process of being a registered design copyright.

Thanks for everyone's concern about this issue though, I really appreciate it.

The next update will most likely come after the 8th of January, 2013 (assuming the world doesn't end Dec 21).  Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa, Boxing Day, etc and a Happy New Year.

1) The final updated proofs have finally been completed (front back and tuck)

2) Tally of uncut sheets (49 sheets) and aluminum metal prints (20) have been counted

3) Surveys will be sent out asking for shipping addresses soon.  So if you've moved in the past couple months or are anticipating on moving soon, don't worry--I will make sure to get the latest address from you.

4) Core deck has been moved to the front of the queue at USPCC.

I apologize for being absent for a while.  Grad school started and never really had as much time as I would have hoped to keep up with this project.  Sometimes, weeks go by like days.  So this is an update as to what has been going on:

1) Main change now is that unfortunately, the metallic ink is no longer viable.  The way the artwork was set up and the way that it needed to be set up for metallic ink was way too different even though I was told by their representative that it could be done in the earlier stages of the design work with how it was being set up.  We went back and forth a couple times to figure out how to make it work but simply couldn't without redoing all the artwork from the bottom up.

2) With the metallic ink issue resolved (or removed), the prepress and printing is now being moved forward.

3) Because of the metallic ink mishap, I will include an extra gift for the backers.  What that extra gift is, I have yet to decide.

Once again, I'm sorry for the lack of updates the past couple months.  I am eager to get these cards shipped out to all of you.
