TLDOTY's "Turn Into the Ground" is nearly complete. With your help we can print CDs to be devoured by friends, family... the world!
We, The Longest Day of the Year, have been hard at work for the past 6 months or so, writing songs, rehearsing, and recording our first full-length album, "Turn Into the Ground." It is an expensive and very educational adventure for all of us. We made a decision last spring; if we were going to make a full-length, we would do it right. We went into one of the nicest studios in the area, worked with an amazing team of producers and sound engineers, and gave our friend Andrew the task of designing the CD artwork including an 8 page booklet.
We are hoping to use this Kickstarter gives us a unique opportunity to pre-sell albums to our friends and families,and to come out of this project without thousand and thousands of dollars in debt.
We also like the idea of giving away some extra gifts to our supporters! Some of the gifts are one of a kind, limited edition, and unreleased tracks (did I forget to mention Shrinky Dinks?) We are excited to work together with you to deliver an album that is well worth your money. The digital copy is going to sound really good, but the real prize is the physical copy in all of its eye-popping, three-dimensional glory!
The recording process is complete, the mixing and mastering is done, the sound quality is magnificent, now we just need to print up CDs and make a little room on the old credit card to do so. This is where you come in.
