If you're a Bard student or you live in the Tivoli area, the chances are you've been in this situation. Its 1AM, the bar and various parties are starting to wind down, you and your friends are walking home or to the shuttle, drunk and tired, but most of all... hungry. You could get in your car and drive to Michael's Diner in Kingston, but thats almost a half an hour away, over a bridge and through a tollbooth, and you're probably too drunk to drive anyway. What if there was a place where you could grab a quick bite before heading home? What if some kindhearted soul was willing to give up his weekend nights and provide drunk people with a means to soothe their aching tummies, to sober them up, to prevent drunk excursions to Kingston, and to most of all, give cheap and delicious food to anyone who needs a grilled cheese at 2 in the morning. Such a person exists, and his name is my name. My name is Sam Schiffer and I want to feed all of you.  

My plan is purchase a food cart and to serve a menu of gourmet street food to the late night patrons of Tivoli's party scene. Grilled Cheese, Hotdogs, Falafel, etc... All cooked with organic and local ingredients whenever possible. We'll have a fixed menu of 2-3 items that will stay the same week to week. On top of that, ill have a special item which will be new for every week to keep the menu fresh and interesting. If I make something on a given week that people really enjoy, i'll bring it back so that you guys can enjoy it. Remember, this is for you. I'll have free water for those really drunk people, and some kind of juice or lemonade for a small price. 

I'm asking for 1000 dollars to cover the cost of the stand itself, propane tanks, ingredients and the necessary permits that I'll need to acquire in order to run this business. My goal is to open in the last days of August and continue  until November or when it gets too cold. Picking up again in the spring and continuing into the start of the Summer. No donation is too small, no support is too little. Lets make this a reality. Thank you.
