Hi everybody-- thank you so much for stopping by! Welcome to the "Send Tiger to Nashville in April to make a luscious new EP" Kickstarter website!
I am thrilled and grateful to share this project with you! This site is dedicated to raising the funds for my new album! Unlike artists who have a label, I am producing and releasing this music on my own! By contributing to this project, you are making it possible for me to share my music with you and the world! Please pass this on to your friends, family and anybody else you think would enjoy participating-- I am offering all kinds of great gifts and experiences to thank you for your support!
To start off, I decided to make my fundraising goal $6000-- the cost of a 5 song EP. In order to record and release a radio quality full length album, it costs about $11,000. However, if I don't meet my ENTIRE fundraising goal on Kickstarter, all the money you give will be returned to you and it will be very sad! This is to ensure that you are contributing to a project that will have enough funding to be completed! So, better to start smaller and make my goal! We can always go over! $6000 will allow me to:
Fly to Nashville April 26th, 2011 ($360)
Record 5 songs at County Q Studio ($3250)
Pay those amazing Nashville musicians (included in the $3250)
Mix the songs (included in the $3250)
Food in Nashville (you gotta feed the singer!) ($250)
Lodging in Nashville (and she has to sleep too...zzzzz...)($250)
Bring home the songs for a 5 song EP(free!)
Photography, design and duplication and a simple sleeve so that I can send the finished EP to you! ($1585)
5% Kickstarter fee: depends on total
The more money we raise together, the more music I can do... I can record more songs, make the EP into a full length CD, make a beautiful eco-friendly digi-pack for the CD etc.
I appreciate your help and generosity so much! Without an audience I would be singing mostly to myself late at night after I put my daughter to bed! Music is something to be shared and your donations mean that I will be able to send music to so many more people-- including YOU!!!

PS - Please note that a donation of $1000 or more automatically contributes $50 to the Kaleidoscope School of Music Scholarship Fund. This scholarship offers financial aid to kids with special musical talent who might not be able to pay for lessons!!
