Day of the Dead Sugar Skull Cookie Kit
To make your own Sugar Skull Cookie Kit is kinda like a byproduct of our signature creation at Tierra Dulce Shop's Day of the Dead Edible Sugar Skulls, which my sister and I created for our Etsy Shop. Each skull is handcrafted and decorated differently - I would say that every design is different - and yes, it is a big process that I am very proud of.
But I am trying to create this sugar cookie combination with my beloved Mexican roots into something new and exciting. And with this project, I will be able to start the process of growing our shop and becoming more marketable in the cultural arts and crafts. What that means is we could finally get proper labels and barcodes and increase our product development for our little shop.
Facts of the Project
So here are the bare bone facts of this project, I contacted a company willing to work with me in creating a Day of the Dead Sugar Cookie Kit, but here is the catch, I must put in an order for a 5000 units for a private label, and I must put 50% down to start the project and 50% once the order is complete. And i have to give them a 90-day lead time to complete the order. So, I will have to figure out how to raise the necessary funds to get this project rolling. The full project cost is about $14,500.
I want to put those kits into specialty shops, or if this goes well have them in some stores/shops by Halloween or/and sell them at Day of the Dead events, or online shops that sell Mexican crafts that include Day of the Dead items. I truly believe this will work - and I have been studying and learning and growing -- and with this project I can expand my shop -- that is why I turn to you for assistance. Because when you are doing something you love - does not seem like work at all. I will give my all for to make this succeed.

Well, I am not the type to not put up a good fight or sit around and wait.
I know delays occur, but I always do my best to finish and complete what I set forth to do. Since starting my Etsy shop, I have not wavered when months have had ZERO sales, no I actually was more determined to get out there and promote as much as I could and bring people into shop with us.
This project can give us the real push toward a milestone that my sister and I have been dreaming about. This adventure we have been on is constantly changing and growing - we have built fans, worked with countless others on projects like contests and fundraisers and we made believers in us and also admirers for our products and we have always delivered. Always.
If the kind people of Kickstarter see our vision, we can be cheered on into triumph and with it comes great rewards that are always lessons learned. And we love to share success with excitement and passion.
