About this project

Greetings my friends,

My name is Thunderhands, and I figured the best way to know me and feel the spirit of who I am is by listening ( video) to me talk and play. My current project: is to record a high quality CD featuring myself on Native American flute and percussion. My plan is to record in a studio in Portland Oregon and have the tracks mixed down and prepared for the mastering process. A master will then be made, and from that the compact disks prepared for distribution. I wish to have this CD ready as a companion to one of my two books entitled Listen to the Wind, Speak from the Heart, which will soon be released by a major publisher world wide. The funds that I am asking for will cover the cost of the process of recording and distribution of my CD. The project is in the initial stages of planning and I expect to have it done within the next few months. My experience in the music business goes way back to my youth, and I have been a musician (percussion and flute) for most of my life, backing others in the studio. I do have two CDs out now that were recorded in more of a home studio setting, but were very well received. The first is entitled "Desert Spirits" and the second "Tribal Unity." I have backed many artists as a drummer/percussionist in a professional studio setting and I know exactly how that enhances the overall quality and sound. My good friend who is a very fine and well known musician in Portland, M. Keefe Rayfield , will be appearing on some of the tracks as a back up musician. The bottom line is getting this out to the public with my book. This will fulfill my purpose of channeling what the Navajo call the "holy wind" through my instrument, for entertainment and healing purposes. Thus the name of my new CD, "Holy Wind Warrior."
