The Clans of “Clandestine”
At its heart, the story in “Clandestine” is about feuding families and clan warfare. Except these aren’t your average clans. As Adelene awakens to this other shadowy world influencing ours, she discovers the families and forces behind them are ancient, including her own. It’s time to meet the clans of “Clandestine.”
The Lion
Spiritually driven and unified by pride and honor, the Lion is one of the most headstrong and emotional clans who always attempt to do the right thing. Their connection with humanity's soul knows no equal, as they are able to access incredible strength and energy from it. They fight for true peace between the clans but their emotional and prideful decision making sometimes leads to more conflicts than resolutions.
The Eagle
Cunning, tactical, and unmatched in strategy, the Eagle sees all – without a blind spot in sight. The Eagle strives to be two or three steps ahead of the other clans, sometimes even feeling more superior and deserving than their cousins. Uncontrollable emotions and weak minded individuals are the Eagle's playground, as they can manipulate the minds of any enemy that isn't mentally stable. Their only flaw is that they may be too smart for their own good, leading to distrust and treachery within the ranks, resulting in much smaller numbers among the Eagle than other clans.
The Wolf
The Wolf clan's main strength is their unity, which is pushed to a limit that almost resembles a hive-mind mentality. The word “family” takes on a whole new meaning when all the clan members are mentally connected and never fight for their own personal goals. They tend to be nomadic, never staying in one place too long and only pushing against the other clans when there is a threat to their own kind. They fight using an animalistic instinctive defense that looks savage and primal in nature and is one of the most feared styles between the clans.
The Bear
The smallest yet most powerful clan around, the Bear's Patriarch (or Matriarch) hoards and stores strength from the rest of the clan, creating an unstoppable beast of a leader that can take on several enemies at once. Known for their unbelievable iron-like bodies and their creative and devastating movements on the battlefield, seeing a Bear Patriarch (or Matriarch) in person means almost certain death. Their one weakness is the care required to look after their weaker clansmen as they become defenseless once their strength is given to their leader.
