April 27, 23 days to go.

Hi Kickstarters!

Well, we're 19% closer to our goal than we were two weeks ago, but we still have a long way to go.  Please, help us get the message out to one and all.

In the meantime, our new theatre space is shaping up nicely.  We have installed 84 old movie theatre seats after hauling them up from the basement (with the help of a few teenagers fueled on a lot of Mountain Dew and pizza).  We cleared away the final stack of trash from the room, and are getting ready for the delivery of the steel girders which will make our lighting grid. 

We start rehearsals in a month for our first play THE SUBJECT WAS ROSES, which opens on June 21.  Our second play is SOUVENIR, then SHIRLEY VALENTINE, and after that ALMOST, MAINE. 

Your Kickstarter contributions will help us offset the costs of starting this brand new theatre space.  So we need all of our supporters to help rally the troops. Even though we are doing this project on a shoestring, it still costs a lot of money. 

We are a 501c3 non-profit, and we know how to squeeze a dollar until it hollers for its Mama.  So any amount you give, large or small, will be well used.

It's May, It's May the lusty month of May and we are 20% closer to our goal!  THANK YOU!!!  But we still need 80% by May 20th at 11:59pm (I know, how dramatic - one minute before Midnight).  So if you know anyone on the fence, planning to contribute please urge them to do so.  This money will be so enormously helpful for the immediate and long-term future of TAP.

The back room of TAP is looking more and more like a theatre everyday.  We are getting ready to install the lighting grid - hopefully this week or next.  Very exciting to see it all take shape.  We have our first theatre event on May 12 - a staged reading of THE NORMAL HEART by Larry Kramer, and our rehearsals begin for our first play of the season, THE SUBJECT WAS ROSES right after Memorial Day.  So we are very busy bees working to prepare.
