Update #5: Did you get your EDIBLE CUP tasting kits?
You should have received your EDIBLE CUP tasting kits by now [we sent them on Tuesday of last week: 8/9/11]. We understand that some kits may have gotten a little soggy making the survey link unreadable, so please go to http://surveymonkey.com/s/ediblecups to let us know what you think!
If you have not received your kit please let us know, and we will send you another one as soon as we can.
Thank you so much for all of your support; we're excited to share our newest flavors with you. For all updates on the development, please sign up for the EDIBLE CUPS newsletter.

Is there a way to order the tasting kit if I did not originally pledge over $50? I'm so excited for you guys (and the new cups!)

This is real exciting, finally ready for us to try. I would like to try some, but will be hard for you to send them to me. Do take these to Toronto though.

Update #3: Success!
Dearest Kickstarter Backers,
We did it! A HUGE thanks to all of you --- we not only succeeded BUT exceeded our funding goal!
It's hard to imagine that just a few months ago we were entering a Jell-O mold competition with this crazy idea without realizing that we had the potential to take it so far.
We are so excited for what comes next on our Edible Cup journey. Now that we can go forward with development, the possibilities are endless. Because you believed in us --- we now have this incredible opportunity to develop Edible Cups into an amazing biodegradable, edible, jiggly, tasty-drink-complimenting, and vegan cup. For the next few months we will be experimenting, user testing, and working hard to make our Edible Cups a reality (hopefully by the summer).
And for our supporters who are awaiting postcards, sketches, tasting kits, parties, and Mindmelts -- We will be in touch with you all very shortly to collect your info see to it that you receive your rewards!
With love, Monica, Chelsea, Ingrid, Leigh Ann The Way We See The World

Hi, I haven't heard from you guys since I pledged $50... I was wondering if you will celebrate with a toast or you will send a sample of the jello-ware tasting samples as you promoted in your pledge.
I live in Brooklyn also.

Update #1: Edible Cups in the New Year
To keep the momentum going we are conducting a little poll:
We want to demonstrate some of our design services we have offered as rewards to our backers.
Comment on this post or email us at info@thewayweseetheworld.com with an idea you would like to see us Mindmelt and sketch on. This could be anything from, "I have too much macaroni, what should I do about it?" to "I want to develop a tool to clean up the The Great Pacific Garbage Patch."
Great ideas can be found anywhere and in a couple of weeks we will choose one of these great ideas to perform.
Have a Happy New Year + Looking forward to your responses!

Of course, jello-shot glasses would be a no-brainer.
As far as other design issues that could be dealt with...designing a wind generator that doesn't mangle birds! (Love the idea of wind generators) How about a residential wind-generator that lives underground when there isn't enough wind and "deploys itself" (solar-powered hydraulics?) only when the wind warrants. Cuts down on the eye-sore objections.

I love packaging. I know that's not a very acceptable position in today's reduce-reuse-recycle world, but particularly with make up and other cosmetics, I just love the boxes and boxes within boxes... What if there was a way to make packaging that was reusable or was designed so that an outer box was mailed back to the company with the inner boxes/packaging for reuse? I'm not sure, but I can't say enough how I love pretty packages! And that's part of what sells cosmetics, so why not make it go farther? :) Good luck ladies - I love your work! I'll be pledging when I get paid in January!
