A compelling and psychological journey through the eyes of a survivor of childhood sexual abuse. Seeking funding for production.
As students at Santa Clara University, we plan to make a short film that encompasses a true story about a nine-year-old girl molested by her uncle. It took her twelve years to finally come out of silence and share her traumatic story with the world.
Divided by her family and others in the community, the powerful young woman, Karinah Guzman decided to take action and bring her abuser to court. We plan on telling this story with our creative and innovative film techniques that will allow our viewers to physically and emotionally experience this young woman’s pain as well as triumph.
We currently have several locations mapped out for our shooting schedule and are currently casting talented actors all across the bay area. Having a crew that has interned at Paramount Pictures, Alcon Entertainment and NBC we possess the skills to create something that will be truly inspirational.
The money we receive from generous individuals such as yourself will be put to use for camera rental equipment, craft services, wardrobe, make-up and distribution for our film. We have had a few resources helping us out with the location and equipment but still need support for the other necessities for our film.
Since, we started attending Santa Clara University our main goal has been to create a powerful film that will one day project us into several film festivals. With your support, this film will launch our career in ways we could not have imagined. Again, thank you for your consideration and support. We appreciate every penny donated towards this film.
