We are trying to raise funds to shoot this important film, “The Unborn Cry" is a heartbreakingly eye opening inner city story. The all too common tale of OUR teenage children becoming sexually active and giving birth. Babies having babies. The film centers around a teenage girl who becomes pregnant from a one night stand. We learn the father is a low life teenaged street drug dealer who eventually denies responsibility to her and his unborn child. The girl’s mother is a drug abuser who prostitutes herself on the streets daily to support her habit and her father is a physically and emotionally abusive alcoholic. Her older brother blames her for her situation and refuses to get ‘involved”. Everywhere she turns for help, there is none.
This all plays into a very dramatic eye-opening ending that we pray will make society take a far more serious look at teenage pregnancy.
Our youth should be one of this nations top priorities.
It is my hope that this film will create a dialogue about teenage pregnancy, love and respect within our community, and hopefully we will gain a better understanding of the similarities all families share. If teenagers are constantly searching for love from someone or something else, they will have missed the true meaning of happiness, that which dwells within each of them. God bless.
