Thanks for checking out our Kickstarter page! If you made it down this far then that means we've intrigued you enough with our video and you actually want to know more about us... flattering!
Being a new band, we book shows, promote, fund, and buy everything ourselves. So after thousands of dollars poured into our instruments, gas, and unsold presale tickets we decided to ask you, the fans, for support!
After listening to the result of our first trip to the recording studio for our demo CD and receiving very positive feedback about what we were doing, we thought "Hey, this could go somewhere"; and it has! In the last 6 months we've played numerous shows from Southern California to Las Vegas, and have even been played on college radio stations. With our recent success we feel that now is the time to answer opportunity's knock, but we can't open the door without your hand. ;) (see what we did there?)
Here's what the donated money will go to:
Recording: $1200 - $1500
- Depending on how long Justin takes to record drums.
CD Duplication: $899
- This is the quote we've received for 1,000 copies of CD's with Eco-Friendly cases; 'cause we like to help the environment where we can. Learn more here!
Digital Distribution: $50 - $100
- This is how much we've found to get our music onto iTunes, Amazon, etc.
The Status: Fiction.Com: $20 - $50/ year
- Domain name, web page, not including the web/graphic designer etc.
Other: ???
- Merchandise like T Shirts, Stickers, and Pins, logo design, album art etc... all depends on how much we get and what we can afford!
As you can see, $3,000 won't be enough to cover everything that we want to do, and we know that, so extra donations that surpass our goal are more than welcome. We see this opportunity quite literally as a "kick start" campaign for us, and not a "fund absolutely everything" campaign. We're a team, and with your generous donations we can make all this happen together!
