A fantastical story by a visionary author, full of wild imagery and the gut-wrenching heartbreak of loss.
June 12 - July 8

In the aftermath of a terrible earthquake, a heartbroken writer uses his stories to heal a little girl. Adapted from the short stories of Haruki Murakami, Galati’s play brings to life Murakami’s “hallucinatory world where the real and surreal merge and overlap, where dreams and real-life nightmares are impossible to tell apart”.
Little Sala wakes up screaming every night, tormented by visions of "The Earthquake Man," who crams in her into a tiny box. Only Junpei, her mother's best friend, can calm her down with his stories. He tells his message of hope through the story of Superfrog, who fights to save Tokyo by battling an enormous, evil worm, deep beneath the city.
In this world of imagination, music, dance, and child-like wonder collide to illustrate the restorative power of story-telling.
