We were at our second day of shooting at the Santa Anita Park under sever weather conditions, no races were cancelled but we had only few moments when we were able to shoot under the rain. We will have to go back and push our production for one more day.
Wes Champagne is a prominent farrier with 30 years of experience in the horse racing industry. He has worked developing several products to reduce stress while horse shoeing. His unique approach to his craft and experience has given our documentary a unique view behind the scenes of the horse racing world. We are grateful to have him on board and donate his time and work to "the SHOE".
Today we finished our fist day of shooting with our subject; one of the top horseshoer legends of the track. We felt pretty good because no one can get the shots that we were able to get behind the scenes at the track. Not even HBO!
