Update #44: The Raid - Trailer and Live Stream Event
Hey there Fabulous Folk!
Just wanted to drop off the new video with info on an upcoming live stream event. I hope you enjoy! So excited about finally getting to show this thing fully to the public :).
Donor rewards should be all up to date, minus the Legendary production books. Still putting some final touches on those, but almost finished!
As always, thank you for your constant support.

Hulu, amazon, itunes! BIG NAMES!
I completely understand everything you said I just am saddened that by the time it finally comes out the ICC stuff will be pretty far removed from peoples minds. But to be fair in the conversations we have had your original goal was always to bring in people who have no idea what world of warcraft even is, or people who know what it is but have never played it, so in that respect I guess the timing as it compares to ICC getting further and further removed really does not matter that much.
All that said, as someone who has known about this as long as I have .... CONGRATS MAN on it finally coming together. CANNOT WAIT! Extremely proud of what we (I can say we right? even if I was only in one interview and not the final film?) have accomplished.
O and tell steph I said hello.

Of course you can say "we"! That's the coolest part about this film; and yet another reason why a big communal, live-stream event is how I want this thing to launch. We've got a cool plan in the works!

Update #42: Update re: distribution and TankSpot video!
Hey there followers of The Raid!
I wanted to write with a brief update concerning recent conversations I've been having with a top distributor in the digital market. We are really excited about the opportunity that appears to have presented itself for this film. I will be sure to keep you posted as the conversations play out!
In the meantime, here is a little tribute video I edited together with bonus footage shot during my work on the film. The subject is the community of TankSpot, it's history and the personalities behind the wheel. It's definitely heavy on details and made for the hardcore fan. Feel free to check it out!
Don't hesitate to contact me with any questions. I'll keep you posted on any further news! Thank you for your continued support and patience. This has definitely been a long road, but I'm excited that there's a possibility for the film to have a life out in the public.

Hey everybody!
Just wanted to make sure you knew we will be live-streaming our pre-screen event at the House of Blues in Anaheim, CA. You will be able to find the stream via our homepage at http://www.jointheraid.com and broadcasting should start around 9 PM PST and the film will screen sometime between 10:30 PM and 11:00 PM PST (that's between 1:30 - 2:00 AM EST...yea...it's late for all you east coasters!).
Thanks for all your support. Hard to believe this time has come. I'm very proud of the work and thrilled for what might come in the future!
Warmest regards,

Update #37: Oct. 23rd Pre-Screening in Anaheim, CA!
Hey everybody!
The long-awaited reveal is almost upon us. I have never worked so hard on something in my entire life. This has really been a momentous year regarding this film and I am anxious to see it through to the end.
For those who haven't heard the details you can check for info on the event (and see the cool flyer) here:
http://jointheraid.com/site/pre-screening-video-and-promo-flyer
Also, we just finished up some amazing new posters for the film. You should totally go check them out here:

We've got T-shirts printed, and I will obviously be sending those out with the other tangible Kickstarter donor rewards as soon as this whole event thing finishes. I've got to spend some time putting the DVD together, obviously, including the special features, etc. So...that'll be next :). Oh...and the production book for you Legendaries out there!
Can't thank you enough for your constant support! Let me know if I can do anything for you.

Update #36: Donor gift rewards!
Update #35: "The Raid" at Blizzcon 2010
Hey you guys!
I hope this note finds you all super well. Just wanted to share with you all some recent news concerning the documentary film project. We will be planning a pre-screening event of the film at Blizzard Entertainment's annual fan convention ("Blizzcon") this October. We are partnering up with Denise Duke from Rawrcast (http:/www.rawrcast.com) who will be helping to organize and plan the event in Anaheim, CA on the evening of October 23rd. Check out the video for more info!
If you are a donor and happen to be a fan interested in attending the screening, and are planning to be in the Anaheim area for Blizzcon (or otherwise) please let me know and we'll do our best to squeeze you in! If you didn't get a chance to donate to the project during our campaign here at Kickstarter you can listen to a whole host of WoW related podcasts to find out how you can win tickets in the coming weeks. I'll be sure to post another update with more specifics on all that very soon.
I'm super excited about sharing this project with the public. There is just so much to be said! We've got a lot of work ahead of us, though, and I'm going to be buckling down hardcore for the next few months. We've got two more amazing interviews coming up with gaming professionals Jesse Schell and Ed Castronova. I am thrilled to death to be interviewing these guys as they will have ideal expertise to contribute on the subject.
So...that's about it for me. Don't hesitate to let me know if you've got questions or thoughts (info@jointheraid.com). You donors, be prepared for me to be reaching out for t-shirt sizes and other such info as we near the conclusion of all this. Can't believe I can see the horizon on it all. Amazing!
Warmest regards,
Kevin Michael Johnson
Update #34: Whewwww....
Update #33: Boston interviews accomplished, Florida incoming!
Hey everybody...
Sorry for the long lag in correspondence. It has been a wild few weeks!
Last weekend marked the first in a long series of trips to get quality HD footage of all the members of Double Dragon for the documentary. We met with Julie, aka "Fearwards" Holy/Shadow priest, and Greg, aka "Urg" Enhancement Shaman. You can check out a bit more detail in the director's blog on our forum and the photos up on our website! I'm hoping to have some character teaser vids to highlight these interviews in the next coming weeks so stay tuned.
Here's a link to the Fearwards pics: http://jointheraid.com/site/photos
Unfortunately, I was too crazed to snap pics at the Urg interview :(.
This weekend I'll be in the Coral Springs area to interview Greyhammer, Elemental Shaman. Should be awesome!
Hope you are all well!
Kevin Michael Johnson
