Connected as Tierney Tough (1304 friends)
Do you like watching strangers play music? Do you like it when 2/3 of those strangers wear glasses? Do you like it when people ask you if you like things? Do you like Matthew McConaughey better in comedies or dramas? I have a hard time deciding, myself, but I'm just a bio for The Pauses. Oh, The Pauses, they're a band formed from the discarded remnants of other former bands. Hot off the collapse of their failed Vostok reunion band re-titling (The Immaculate Shark), Tierney Tough and Jason Kupfer sought to recruit fellow recent band dropout Nathan Chase (of Unsung Zeros fame) to form what no one else has yet come to term an "indie supergroup." Together they mostly wear glasses and entirely play music that will make you both dance and cry simultaneously. J. Robbins himself agreed to record their upcoming first album while doing both. Sure, they're "poppy" and have literally fed sugar to their audience, but they're also not reluctant to really rock a polar bear's ass when it's called for. Shoegaze, Noiserock, Blips and Bloops, Ukuleles, Animatronic Owls, Big Muffs, Adjectives Separated by Commas, Social Networking Accounts, Women; The Pauses objectify it all. Best of all, they're skillfully adept at anticipating their welcome-threshold and giving you your necessary space. No one likes a clingy band.
Thank you! We can't wait.
The video is awesome! Good luck with the album.
