About this project
We are The Nehemiah Band. A Los Angeles group of Christian brothers who came together to make music as a reflection of our belief–that God sent his son, Jesus Christ, to die for us as substitutionary atonement for our sins. Forever grateful, we don't do this for ourselves but to give glory to God. Our satisfaction doesn't come from money or success, but from knowing that we are inspiring lives to follow Christ and live out His teachings.
In 2007, we released our debut album "Break of Dawn" that was completely self-produced. We've spent a lot of sleepless nights putting that record together, but we feel that it didn't quite capture "our sound." If you've ever been to our live show, you know exactly what we're talking about.
This year, 2011, we started working on our follow-up album "Morning Came to Me." We were extremely excited when we began, so we found a producer named Chad Bamford who recorded this band called Weezer. You might know of them...they're kind of a big deal. Unfortunately, we only had enough money to begin recording three tracks...but the three tracks sounded SO GOOD!
We set up this Kickstarer to invite you to be a part of our album making process and help us fund our next record. We want this record to be for you, and hope that you're encouraged through this record. So, we humbly ask for your assistance in helping us reach the world with our music and hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoy making it!
