Hey everyone, ready to hear some new music from us this summer? We're ready to record some, and we need your help!
As you guys all know, we'll be at a lot of big festivals this summer. As mentioned in the video, the three big things we need by then are:
A finished EP
This is something we're incredibly excited about. We already have one song, Pair of Jacks, that we recorded in Nashville, TN with Steve Wilson. Steve is a great guy, and we intend to finish the EP with him. We're lining up 5 more songs to go into studio with. After driving to Nashville, staying there for two weeks, eating food while we're there, recording 5 songs, driving back, getting them mixed and mastered, and then ordering a bunch of physical CD's, we'll be spending at least $6000.
A new vehicle
We've driving around in an older Suburban for the past few years, and she has treated us well, but they are much smaller than 15 passenger vans. Long drives tend to be... let's just say, uncomfortable. Though comfort is admittedly not a necessity, a reliable vehicle is, and though she hasn't had any major problems to date, we've racked up a pretty decent number of miles, and don't want to push our luck. It's time to upgrade. Our goal here is to replace her with a used 15 passenger van. We're looking to spend around $3000.
New Merch
We'll be playing for tons and tons of people this summer. We're pretty stoked. We want to give (read sell) them a bunch of stuff to remember us by. Which means we need this bunch of stuff. We need to replenish our current merchandise inventory, plus get several new shirt designs, and even some other cool things that we might leave as a surprise for you. But the trick, here, is that we'll need a lot of it. It would be impossible for us to carry enough around with us to last the whole summer, but we need enough to get us started. Around $4000, to be precise.
It's worth mentioning that if you add up those numbers, they total up to $13,000. Yet our goal is set for $5000. This is because we can't expect you guys to pay our way for us. I mean, we have to work for it some, right? We need help, but we couldn't ask you guys to cover it all. On the other hand, if you guys want to, we won't even be mad about it. So lets say that our official goal is $5000, and our... er... super-secret goal, is $13,000. If you're reading this, it means that you care enough to give us 5 minutes of your time, and for that, we love you. If that's all you can give, we still love you. We really do have some incredible friends among our fan base, and we can't tell you all enough how much of a blessing you guys have been to us. We're excited to share this new EP with you soon!
