FOUR DAYS LEFT TO RAISE $2,000!!
Thank you all so much again for helping us meet our initial fundraising goal.
So far, we've raised $4,000 from our EP sales and shows, and through your donations, we've raised an additional $3,480!
Now we've got four days left to raise the final $2,000!
This will go towards the mixing, mastering, and pressing of the album!
Any donation that you can give is incredibly appreciated, and thank you so much for all of your support.

UPDATE OCT 5:
Great news! We just reached - and already surpassed - our initial fundraising goal of $2500! Thank you so much for your support, this is getting us really excited to make this record.
That said, our Kickstarter fundraising project isn't over until November 1, so that means we still have time to keep raising funds!
If we get $1000 more by the end of the week, we can cover the mixing of half the songs for the record. Let's do it!

ORIGINAL POST:
Our band, The Loom, is recording our first full-length album and we want you to help us make it happen! We are really excited about this project. It's been years in the making and we've got all the songs composed, a recording studio lined up, and a great audio engineer.
You, our friends and fans, have been an integral part of our identity and growth, and we'd like to continue that trend by inviting you to contribute to the creation of this album.
Here's the plan: We're attempting to raise $2500 by November 1 to contribute to our studio recording session. See to the right for ways you can join in. With every donation, you'll receive something from us in return. There are all sorts of things including free albums, Loom t-shirts, exclusive dinner parties, 1-year guest list passes, and even private shows!!
Beyond the recording process, we've got a few more wheels in motion. If we happen to surpass our funding goal, we'll use any additional money raised to pay for mastering the tracks, pressing the disks, creating album art, and printing the packaging (for all of which we'll ultimately need raise an additional $3000-$4000). So, as you can tell, any amount that you could donate would be very appreciated. And the more you donate, the more stuff you get in return!
We're grateful for all of you, and we'd love for you all to have an active role in the making of this album. Thanks for your support!

The Loom plays folk-influenced indie rock featuring male and female vocals, horns, guitars, keys, steel, mandolin and banjo in songs ranging from gentle to anthemic and built around subtle, affecting lyrics.
After releasing their debut EP, "At Last Light", in 2008, The Loom toured the northeast US and Canada and played CMJ Music Festival and Pop Montreal. In their shows on the road and at home, they shared bills with Rock Plaza Central, O'Death, Julie Doiron, Headlights, Evangelicals, Neva Dinova, Miles Benjamin Anthony Robinson, Festival, The Antlers, Sharon Van Etten, These United States, and many more. In January 2009, they hosted a Pianos Residency with The Rural Alberta Advantage and others.
Music from “At Last Light” has appeared on "Good Morning America" and MTV's "Subterranean" as well as in “The Youngest Candidate" (along with music by Miles Benjamin Anthony Robinson and others), a documentary about young Americans running for political office directed by Brooklyn filmmaker Jason Pollock (former assistant to Michael Moore) and produced by Lawrence Bender (“An Inconvenient Truth”) and David Letterman’s production company World Wide Pants. The film was released in the fall of 2008 and the soundtrack will see national release this fall with album art by Shepard Fairey.
The Loom is currently recording a full-length album set for completion in fall 2009, and they plan to follow its release with a national tour.
