The Latino List Project explores what it means to be Latino in the 21st Century

Help us make The Latino List: Volume 2 a profoundly important and historic documentary film. Our HBO air date, Hispanic Heritage Month, is right around the corner, but there is still time for you to participate. From a twitter shout out to an Associate Producer credit, your contribution can make The Latino List: Volume 2 a huge success. For the first time in history, Latinos are taking center stage in a U.S. Presidential election.  Momentum is reaching new heights.  Yet stories about our community in social media, print, TV and radio continue to ask the question "who are Latinos and what is their story”?   The vast majority of TV viewers are either married to a Latino, have a Latino child, get medical, dental or home services from a Latino or work alongside a Latino.  But still, the general public is perplexed by the complexity, diversity and perseverance of Latinos.   Issues like immigration, education and equal rights for American Latinos often cloud the realities of a community filled with integrity, humility and achievement. Our HBO film, The Latino List: Volume 1 gave Americans across the country a chance to know and understand remarkable Latinos, ranging from Eva Longoria to John Leguizamo to Justice Sonia Sotomayor. Volume 2 promises even more, but we need your help. As filmmakers, of course, we want to change hearts and minds. But, we also want to shed light on the strength and dignity of this remarkable community.  Our previous series of films, The Black List: Volumes 1, 2 and 3, were aired on HBO and won the NAACP Spirit Award for best documentary. We have high hopes for The Latino List films, but we need your support. Our Goal for The Latino List Project is simple- To let Americans and their fellow Latino Americans appreciate each other’s hard work, love of country and shared values. Please contribute as much as you can to help make The Latino List possible.
