We are currently getting ready to write & record a new EP! We have some awesome stuff in the works & need your help making it a reality
The Jukebox Romantics are making a new EP! 6 songs to be exact. 5 New tracks and 1 cover that we haven't decided on yet! We are entering the studio on March 2nd and this time we are recording with our good friend Eliot Gellar at Gellar Cellar Studios. Some of you might remember Eliot from our summer tour as our Merch guy and Fill-In drummer for when Joe had to head home. We are super stoked to be working with such an awesome engineer and great friend. We are lucky enough that he is helping us with the price. When its all said and done, we are looking at a few thousand for recording, mastering and pressing. The reason we are asking for 750 is because some of you might remember us breaking down 2 days in a row in Salt Lake City & in Nebraska. Many of you great fans, friends, & family were generous enough to help us out then and we aren't the type of people to ask for much. We put everything we got into what we love and we know you guys do to. We are just happy to have some help from some great people! With that said, we put together what we think are a bunch of cool rewards, prizes, and gifts for your support of this EP and this band.
2011 was a good year for us Jukebox guys. We released A Lion & A Guy and toured and played as much as possible. We put our hearts and souls into that record and into buying a new van and touring. So much that we broke down and had to do atleast 4 or 5 (it's easy to lose count) repairs on the Juicebox and are currently broke. We want 2012 to be an even bigger year and we need your help!
With the new year, we are also a new band. At the end of 2011 we parted ways with our singer Chris. People just grow apart. It sucks but things continue on. This band has always been about brotherhood, having fun and creating thoughtful, happy, fun music, and of course hard work. And thats still our mentality. We have begun writing again and the songs are really coming together. It really is some of the best stuff we are writing and it's great to look back and see how this band has grown from our 2008 inception.
We appreciate all the support and donations. Please share this with anyone who enjoys creativity, hard work & honesty. We are happy to have you be part of this band. When we write music its not just for us, its for you. When we play live, its a release for us and for you guys. A chance to get away from the BS in life and have some fun.
