My name is Laura Graham and I live in Nashville, TN. I am a mom to a very handsome and ifriendly 2 year old who has inspired me to design lots of kid/family friendly iPad and iphone accessories. I have been working on the ikid case design for a year. It has been a VERY long process to get the design JUSt right.

I started with a design more like this:

After many months of refining the design and the materials to make sure the ipad would have a snug fit, but still be easy for the parent to insert and remove. I also had some quality issues with my factory in Shehzen and moved to an American plastics factory. They spent a few months trying to work out a design and figure out the right material combo, with no luck and several wasted months and money for the mould.

So.. I started fresh with  a new Engineer based in California and a new factory in another part of China that I hired from elance.com We have worked really well together over the last few months changing the design to make sure it would fit the ipad 3 and to make adjustments based on recommendations from customers. I especially wanted this case to work well with special needs children who have many adapters that connect to the ipad , and needed easy port access.

So.. currently I have a perfect design,and have already paid for the mould and it is finished.. and ready for production, BUT I need money to fund that production and the shipment from China. Shipping alone will be at least $1100.00  Because  I have spent the last year working on this project, the result will be a quick delivery IF we can make the funding goal! Once I reach funding I can start immediate production which will take about 45 days since I only have 1 mould and then 7-45 days for shipping depending on if we use air or sea freight.
