      Anyone actually receive this?

Whoops, I lied, its the fifth project that I backed that was successful....

This is the third idea that I've backed that has been successfully funded, one of them has already given me the product and the other is still in development (game, SIRA). So I'm still hoping that maybe this guy will get back into contact with us all and actually make us the project, tho I suppose that does sound like a bit of a pipedream now seeing as its been literally months since we last heard from him in regards to anything.

Tis slightly confusing, because looking at his previous project/s he seems to have actually delivered on the project (albeit a bit late, but he still got it to them) so I know that he actually can go through on his previous projects (unless they were falsified but theres no evidence to that so can't really go about claiming that).

Oh well, all we can really do now is just wait and see if he actually produces these things now. I

Well this will leave a bad taste in my mouth towards kick starter. :(

This is the first time this has ever happened with anything I've backed. :(

I somehow suspect that he won't be getting back into contact with us or anything, since its been so long since we got any information/contact with him. Would've loved to have either the product back or my $80 back as well. I must say, it's because of things like this that makes me less and less likely to support things on Kickstarter.

Yeah. I could use my $30 back if he's not going to give me my coasters. I'll probably send him an email myself.

Well, the last thing that he publicly posted on his page was earlier this month on the 10th. It was a link to his new website/idea job thing. Through a few simple clicks gave me this information.

      Phone: 937.59.TWEED (89333)
      E-Mail: info [at] neoelegance [dotcom]

I am more than happy to hound this guy and demand either my money back or for the reward.

*Once again, this information was attained through public knowledge of his own posting that anyone could have found.

Well. My message to Kickstarter did absolutely no good. I'm emailing them back, because this was their response:

Sorry to hear that getting your reward is taking longer than anticipated. Fulfilling projects and communicating with backers is the responsibility of the creator, but what goes on in our community is important to us, so thanks for letting us know.
If you haven’t already, be sure to check the Estimated Delivery Date on the project page. Backing a project is a lot different than simply ordering a product online, and sometimes projects are in very early stages when they are funded. Making something from start to finish takes time.
If the Estimated Delivery Date has passed, check for Project Updates that may explain what’s happening. Sometimes creators hit unexpected roadblocks or simply underestimate how much time it takes to complete a project. If they haven’t posted an update in a while, try sending the creator a message or posting a comment to request more information about their progress.

The one bit of actual helpful information here is that "fulfilling projects and communicating with backers is the responsibility of the creator". So... we may just be screwed. I'm still trying to find out (via Facebook) if he's even still alive or something. That's really my main worry. His website/facebook/etc don't seem to have been updated at all for months.

I messaged him on FB today, and if I don't hear back sometime next week, I'll see what Kickstarter has to say.

Is there anywhere to at least complain about this and maybe get the guy suspended at least? I would understand if there was a problem with production but there has been ZERO response or feedback from him. He literally took our money and did nothing with it.

*Sigh* I was hoping to receive this before my brother's wedding as I was hoping to gift this to them for a wedding present but I assume that this seems highly unlikely now. Wish I knew about this before I put $80 into this idea.

Hey Chad. Sorry for the delay. I was waiting on Amazon to release the funds so I could get all the supplies to make the coasters as soon as I knew the tile colors everyone wanted. I just got done posting an update on the project and sent out the Surveys to everyone. As soon as I start receiving replies to the surveys and get the image files, I'll be able to start making the coasters and get them sent out pretty quickly afterwards. Thanks

So just under three weeks now since being successfully funded...... anything?

    19. Bader_20.small

Creator The Idea Can on May 4, 2012

Thanks Chad. To make sure that the image comes out great, I'll need at least a 300dpi image up to 4" x 4" in size (or 1200 pixels x 1200 pixels square). I'm working on a couple of template files for everyone to be able to download and I'll post a project update later today with the links.
