About this project
We are trying to raise funds to cover at least part of the recording, mixing, mastering, and pressing of our new album "Lights Out!" Our total goal amount in this project is only a fraction of the overall cost we are looking at for the finished product, but any little bit helps right? We are scheduled to go into the studio in early October where we will be working with John Kay at Stu Stu Studio (Koffin Kats, Bat On Fire, Aggro Or Die!) and we couldn't be more excited! He does fantastic work and we are looking forward to putting these new songs out there for you guys.
We plan on raising these funds partially through this kickstarter project. We have compiled some rewards that we think you will dig, but feel free to e-mail us if you come up with something better or want something different/specific from us. Currently we are offering rewards from the things you would see on our merch table up to custom posters and t-shirts designed specifically for donors. If you are feeling particularly generous you could even get a night out on the town with us (Chicago or Detroit, unless you want to schedule it for our next tour and we will come to your town to hang out) Some of the other bigger ticket items include a personalized acoustic song about whatever you want to be posted on the internet for your pleasure. Well, we will design a poster...specifically for uhhh...you. Could be cool, I guess we will see right? Oh and the t-shirt yeah we will have a new design that is exclusive to those of you who choose that tier of donations.

The HandMe Downs are a Detroit Punk Rock band who have been on a number of east coast and southwestern tours gaining many great friends and fans along the way. It is time to finally record a new album! The writing process is in the final stages and studio time is booked, but the funding just isn't there at this time. We really want to get these new songs out to everyone the way we want them to sound. So we are once again teaming up with John Kay from Stu Stu Studio to make this record come to life.
