theFIVE10 Music is looking to create a compilation CD to give away for free.
theFIVE10 Radio has always been a place where we create a conversation about where the music industry is headed. In most cases, most people have no idea where it's headed which is interesting to us.
These days most people agree that the physical form of media is on the way out. So we thought we'd create a project that takes advantage of this. We want to create a promotional CD. Sure it'll probably end up being someone's cup holder but what if it contained some of the best up-and-coming bands in music today? And what if it were FREE!?!
When most of us go to a record store we will grab a nice flashy CD if it's free just to check it out. Well we want to get the word out about some of our favorite bands. So we figured this would be the best way to reach our core audience. Plus, if people can't make it to their local record store we'll send it to them.....for FREE!
So here we are trying to raise money to make that happen. We love Kickstarter and the grassroots effort to make small projects like these happen. We fully believe this project is going to help tomorrow's bands reach today's audience in a big way.
