UPDATE #1: SUPER HAPPY FUN TIME EXCITING UPDATE YAY

We've reached our initial goal!

We - heretofore known as "the creators" - have been overwhelmed by the initial response from you - heretofore known as "awesome people." The support has been incredible and has only made us more excited about the show. Thank you.

That being said, just because we've reached our goal doesn't mean you should stop donating. In fact, you should be more likely to donate, because all the cool kids are doing it.

In all seriousness, we've still got 20 days left on this baby and we hope we can keep the donations rolling. The more money we raise, the more we can pay our awesome production team (soon to be announced!), as well as add things to the show like  "production values" and "content."

JEFF COON AND BEN DIBBLE MUST DIE

Jeff Coon and Ben Dibble Must Die is the story of two Philadelphia actors, Greg and Mike, hungry for fame and fortune in a mid-level regional theatre market. After a string of failed auditions, they are presented with only one sensible option: destroy the two most popular actors in Philadelphia and usurp their thrones. Enter Bechtel: psychotic theatre buff and freelance assassin. Join them on their bloodthirsty quest to become Philadelphia favorites.

JCBDMD will be presented in the first week of the 2012 Philadelphia Fringe Festival at Quig's Pub, under the direction of Amy Dugas Brown - wife to Ben Dibble, friend to Jeff Coon, and conspiratorial plotter against both.

With a performance space and collaborators already in place, now all we need is a Hollywood-level special effects budget, and that's where you come in. The show will cost upwards of $5,000 to produce and - this being our first collective production effort - we need all the help we can get. We'll be having several fundraising events throughout the spring and summer, and we're hoping that a good Kickstarter campaign can get us off on the right foot. Any amount you can donate will help - whether it's $1,000 or $1,000,000 no amount is too small.
