EXPERIMENT 1: TABOO CONVERSATIONS
The Distillery, a Raleigh based art collective, is raising $5,000 four our first Experiment for the 2011-12 Season. This season we will be exploring the word CONVERSATION and the many different aspects of what that word means today. Experiment 1: Taboo Conversations is an EXPLORATION and DISTILLATION of the things we can't or won't talk about.
WHO ARE WE:
The Collective is made up of all sorts of creative types: theatre folk, a comic book artist, photographers, musicians, creative writers & dancers. We envision that this process starts with The Collective asking a good question and using their unique talents to answer it. What would two creative writers, a director, a comic book artist, and a painter create together if given the topic taboo conversations? As our process unfolds, we'll post our progress here!
YOUR MONEY HELPS WITH:
Artistic materials: as needed for the experiment
Marketing/Print materials: postcards, posters, advertisement, playbills, artist statements
Space: $900/month rent which includes utilities
Stipends: paying the artists for their hard work
